It's a depressing state of affairs when a man who, quite literally, views women and girls as objects to be used and abused by men, is this close to the White House.
"He'll protect the lives of the unborn!!" But for half of them, once they are born... look out. Second class citizens and objects to be leered at, groped, and raped past the age of 10.

Yup. He didn't even own it, he doesn't understand why his comments were so bad.
But I bet it's enough to mollify the GOP, his core supporters were already printing hats and shirts with the slogan on them, and the media has no real choice but to move on as the debate starts the next news cycle.
Another month of this, it's like orange groundhog day.

Each issue like this costs him a few more of the undecided. It's not about the 40% committed to Trump anymore. It's about preventing that number from getting bigger.
So does this hurt him with suburban white women - yes
Does this encourage 18-34 year olds to vote for Clinton - yes
Does this give a reason for the Obama Collition to show up and vote - yes
Does it hurt trump amount whites without college degrees - a bit but probably balanced by Hillarys trade comments in the leaked speach.
So in the remaining ways trump can win he lost votes.

I like the part where stuff from 10 years ago is a distraction but stuff from 20 years ago is really important.

For a guy who never stops bragging about how much money he has, he sure cheaps out on things. That little apology video there looked like it was filmed in a cave with an old iPhone, and the PR flack given 12 hours to write it is not very good.
Say what you will about Hillary, but if audio/video of her talking and snickering about how she had sexually assaulted people surfaced today, she'd at least get some professionals to put together a better response than that.
On the other hand, Donald does have a point. This conversation took place a decade ago, when he was only 60. What you say when you are 60 isn't indicative of the kind of person you are at all.

I do have to question people who change their minds on Trump based on this though. How did they even get this far?
I find a total disregard and ignorance of nuclear policy to be much worse than this. This just feels like another in a long line of stupid things that won't change the minds of the people still voting for him at this point.
Basically at this point, Trump supporters are on the top deck, playing Nearer My God To Thee and going down with the ship.

The 35 percent that will stick by Trump no matter what are the same folks that loved (and still love) Bush right up until his last day in office.

LOL you are so funny Peanut. You should write for John Oliver.
Thank God Hillary Clinton is a saint and is a champion for minorities and women. The world will be a better place with her as President.

Totally an aside from all this is the fact that news cycles have become so quick that a presidential nominee is responding to a story this quickly that tens of millions of people became aware of in a couple hours on a Friday evening. It's crazy how fast the news cycle is now

In some ways I am glad I don't have CNN. In other ways, I am sad, because this is great entertainment. Caught this news story at someones house today and was on reply. Probably dominated 45 minutes out of an hour slot.

I sense a multi-page discussion on the definition and context of saint and champion? There's a thesis in there somewhere. Come on, you know you want to do it!

No Idea what you are talking about, but lets move this discussion along about the Election and new News.
Can't wait to watch the Debate on Sunday. Should make for an interesting Canadian Thanksgiving.

I get why the p****-grope story (plus other harassment stories) is big news, but it's kind of silly.
Trump is an aggressive misogynist who thinks he can do anything. We knew that already. This is what that means in practice. It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

Trump essentially admitted to previous sexual assaults in the audio. It is not just lewd comments, it is criminal behaviour that should be investigated and prosecuted.
The media will continue to make this about the language he used without appropriately following up on what he statements actually mean.
If they had any balls that would be the story here.
