Stroman
Sanchez
Norris
Hutchison
Hoffman

That's just our young starters, who could conceivably be ready to go as early as spring training next season. I wouldn't feel super comfortable with that, but it's a stable of young talent that project to be #2 or 3 starters (perhaps no longer Hutchison, remains to be seen). Add a veteran starting pitcher if Buerhle is to retire, also keeping Estrada in the mix, and it already looks like an improvement to our current situation.

With Osuna and Castro being nice young bullpen pieces, that's actually as good of young pitching talent as the Jays have had in a decade.

It's why the Jays have to be careful what they do here.

The young pitching is coming IMO.

So if you move out all your veteran bats (Baustista, EE, Reyes, Navarro) do you just create a new problem the next two years where you can pitch but the only good bats you have in the lineup are Donaldson and Martin.

If they can re-invest the $27.5 million of Buerhle/Romero into a Price/Cueto level starter in Free Agency could that be enough.

Price/Cueto
Stroman
Dickey
Hutchison/Sanchez/Norris
Hutchison/Sanchez/Norris

That would be a decent Rotation IMO, and then you have Dickey expiring after next year and another spot opens up for one of Hutch/Sanchez/Norris/Hoffman by that point.

Dickey has a club option at the end of this season, so he is as good as gone

As bad as he has been, I think they may pick up Dickey's option, especially is Buerhle is gone and/or retires. 12 million isn't a lot and starters are impossible to find

The leagues best offence has strangely gone missing. The #bluejays have been shutout 2 straight games and 24 consecutive innings

See what happens when you have no starting pitching depth AA?

Wait, I've said that before.

Or a LF that can make the right throw...and a SS that doesn't miss dribbling ground balls or hold on to the ball 10sec too long.

I totally agree on SP depth...that first inning was freakin atrocious.

The Jays should tear down a bit and deal off a few guys like Bautista and EE. Get some good prospects and reset for next year.

I see the typical Blue Jays season is at hand. Off to a solid start, fall of a cliff by the ASG. Never change Jays.

Hahaha. Man oh man. This team is the most frustrating/exhilarating to watch. First 5 innings was no good. Then all erased in one inning. Awesome situational hitting and base running.
