I also think Bylsma is essentially to blame for this series so far. Right from the outset the whole strategy of his team has played away from their strengths and the team has appeared mentally unprepared.
Barring an amazing comeback he's got to be done after this series. I would not be surprised to see the Pens coached by Vigneault come October.

I think Iggy just needs a 1st Line center to Play with.
I hope the Pens actively shop for a 1st line center in the off-season.
Sum 1 to play with Iggy! Lolz!

On a serious note, I hope the Bruins win the Cup.
Poetic Justice for Iginla ruining a great deal the Flames had negotiated with the Bruins.

I get why most Flames fans want to see Iggy win a cup. I do too but not this year. For me the trade is too fresh in my memory. I didn't like how Iggy and his agent Meehan voided a damn good deal with Boston whom Iggy said they could arrange a deal to.
I feel Iggy went back on his word and I believe Meehan played a big part in it. I do not want Iggy to be jettisoned to a Stanley Cup immediately. This isn't his character he isn't a NY Yankee, Miami Heat, Pittsburgh Penguin kind of guy. He is a Bruins kind of guy the fans were all ready to love this guy they were completely jacked to have him wear a B but now because he spurned them they will rightfully despise him in Boston.
Put it this way if the Flames had a done deal in place for a big name player and the deal falls apart in the 11th hour only because the player veto's the deal we would boo that player every time he played against the Flames.

With that being said did Flames fans not rejoice in celebration when the Bruins crushed the dreams of Canuck fans's and did the same thing to Leaf fans.
I don't recall a backlash against the Bruins then.
The Pens on paper should be up 2-0 if you believe the hype, but the Bruins are playing exactly the way we wish a Flames team would be built with depth, moxy, skill, and these guys you can just see it play full out for one another. They play through the pain from getting hit and laying out hits.
The Pens just expected after the trade deadline picking up 2 Captains and a big body D man that they were going to slice through all teams like butter.
I hear alot of chatter that the Pens are playing on the outside.
They are because the Bruins are making them. Until the Pens are willing to pay the price to gain the center of the zone nothing will change.

I look at ex Calgary Hitman Johnny Boychuk every game since game 2 of the Leafs series he gets up hobbled or holding his head after a crunch but next shift he just keeps going.
This a team that has their head in the game is focused what has to be done.
We would love the Flames to have this character and all these elements.

I doubt Iginla is on Malkin's wing for the start of next game. Malkin looked visibly frustrated playing with him.
I said it after game 1 but it's even more true now. Gotta go back to the lineup that won 15 games in a row or whatever. Malkin loves playing with Bennet on LW. Iginla, Morrow and Jokinen can't possibly be any better than him and Tyler Kennedy at this point.

As much as I hate to say it, if Iggy cant make an impact playing with Malkin and Crosby, he never stood a chance here.
He slows his whole line down.

They need to go back to what the team was comfortable with.
 Dupuis-Crosby-Kunitz
 Bennett-Malkin-Neal
 Cooke-Sutter-Kennedy
 Morrow-Jokinen-Iginla

Go back to your lines before the trade deadline, and throw all the new guys on the same line. Try to get some of that chemistry and familarity back.

That's not shallow at all.

Hoping Iggy wins a cup at the expense of the Flames pick is shallow IMHO.

Yep, I wish Iggy the best, but not at the expense of the Flames....even if it's something relatively small like moving a couple spots up/down in the late 1st round. Small steps towards great success!

Oh lighten up already. No need to resort to insults. I'm hoping for Iginla to win the cup because I don't believe a two draft positions at the end of the first round is a big deal but I'm hardly offended by Tinordi's post.

I think it's silly if anyone thinks either side is being "shallow", Erick. I wasn't offended by Jiri's stance, nor am I offended by anyone hoping Iginla wins the cup either.

If you think someone is being shallow because they want to see the Flames pick higher, or if you want to see Iginla hoist the cup... that's childish.
