Well that's fine though. The roadblock was Lucas' "intended vision" BS ... I'm sure Fox would be more than fine with releasing yet another version and making a couple hundred million dollars.

If they're free of George's shenanigans, I'd drop a hundred bucks on the theatrical release Blue Rays tomorrow if I could.

Here's an even better shot of that outdoor set with the Falcon and multiple X-Wing looking craft outside bunkers:
I wonder if this was part of an RAF base?

Not only that but I've heard some Star Wars nerds think that this base matches descriptions of Dantooine.

Where is this set? I wonder if they'll keep everything in place, similar to what they did with the Lord of the Rings sets in New Zealand.

Well it does lead to the interesting question. Has the republic been re-established, or is the Empire still in charge and the Rebels still the Rebels.

I doubt it, Dantooine is far too remote to make effective concept art.

Well from that concept art we know they have at least built that one set with the grass covered aircraft bunkers.

What are people's opinions of JJ Abrams keeping things a lot more hush-hush about this movie than George Lucas did when he was working on the prequels? In one sense, it builds some suspense, but there isn't really a lot of the fun pre-movie speculation of the characters and such. I remember Lucas had his website with some of the characters and some blurbs about them.
I know there have been some leaks of concept art and some of the sets, but he's definitely not as open with the information as Lucas had been with showing people how filming is going and whatnot.
