As part of an English assignment in Uni, we were to write to a columnist.

He wrote a poor review on the film, Jenin Jenin., in the Calgary Herald theatre & arts section.

Myself, I just happened to glance at, as I was looking for a suitable column to disseminate. Thing is the more I read it, the more sensationally critical the review was.

Until, it was signed by Levant.

Would've been nice if it weren't so flagrantly biased, and instead reviewed by a moderate, with an appropriate media arts perspective -- but who was I, but a nerdy comp sci student trying not to be awkward on paper.

I caught the call in, the super old sounding guy complaining about what happened to the station and why they wouldn't let an intelligent man like Ezra talk (when apparently all he did was rant and rave for 15 minutes during the segment).

I'm guessing Kinkade and Kelly are going over gangbusters with that portion of Rutherford listeners.

I will say K&K, did call him out in the softest way possible, about the wife beating question. But they let him push them around.

I don't want to derail this thread but, I've listened to a bit of K&K now and am trying to figure out what Kelly brings to the show? Roger has always been pretty in touch with local politics and keeps things moving, is she just meant to be colour commentary?

All this fight back from Nenshi is really because he made the scientist comment which was a a real stretch and he owned himself. The reply from the mayor does not even mention the original and real issue in all of this, which tells me he is hoping people forget about that part of the kerfuffle.
