So, I listened to 630 CHED a bit during the game last night. Commercial break comes, there’s a Molson Canadian ad - something along the lines of “we remember the Dynasty we had, and we are looking forward to the next one (dynasty)”.
I couldn’t believe my ears. How about you finish above 20th overall for more than one season in a row before talking about the next dynasty?

Looks like Puljujarvi might be done for the season
Mark Spector @SportsnetSpec
K.Gretzky says Puljujarvi and agent Markus Lehto seeking 2nd opinion on lower body injury.
Lehto confirms, and that, if surgery is required, it will "more than likely" mark end of Puljujarvi's season.

^^^ Ok, that 2nd opinion tells me two things:
1) Nobody trusts the Oilers' medical staff to be honest with the players as to the seriousness of their condition.
2) Puljujarvi is looking for any reason to not play another game for the Edmonton Oilers. He's traded at the first opportunity. Probably at the draft.

Congrats to Puljujarvi for seeing the light.

Yeah, Puljujarvi will either be traded this off season to another NHL team or go back to Europe until he is traded IMO.
Another future oiler high drafted, highly touted "supastah" down the drain.
What a #### organization.

#1 definitely came to mind, but I think the opposite on #2
It sounds like the Oilers are trying to shut him down but he wants a 2nd opinion. No?
Was it all rumours that he was being sent down to the AHL and Pul refused?
Unless I missed something, it sounds like the Oilers tried to send him to the AHL... he said 'no', so they took him out of games with an LBI that the Drs are calling 'season ending' and he wants a 2nd opinion on this prognosis.
This could be a doozy if I'm reading this right

Shouldn't we be feeling sorry for the thousands of fans that had to touch McCough and get the plague instead of the other way around?

They've earned that rep. Just ask Souray and the LA Kings when they traded for...I want to say Stoll? I cant remember the exact player, but the Kings traded for him and he failed their medical almost instantly despite the Oilers proclaiming him to be perfectly healthy?

It was Colin Fraser, Locke...
Fraser is expected to debut with the Kings on Thursday night against the Vancouver Canucks.
Los Angeles acquired Fraser from the Edmonton Oilers in late June when veteran Ryan Smyth demanded a trade back to Alberta.
The Kings then accused the Oilers of trading an injured player when they determined Fraser still hadn’t fully recovered from a broken foot, which ended his final season in Edmonton last March. Fraser missed the first 15 games of this season while recovering from surgery.

McHobo does look pretty rough most of the time. starting to resemble a handsome young Ryan Smyth.

All I can get
|
Sounds like Puljujarvi might have one of those nagging injuries teams and players try to put off fixing until the off-season. All the sudden dealing with surgery and painkillers is more appealing than playing as an Oiler, "so eff it, let's get 'er done now."

Nah, more like trying to avoid the AHL at all costs.

The Oilers are so bad that their players don't even want to be in the NHL anymore.
Imagine working your whole like to realize your dream of being a professional hockey player, and then being on this Oilers team and just wanting to go home.

The only real thing they have going for them is that they are a prime destination for players searching for a PTO opportunity or show-me contract in order to prolong or revive their NHL careers, like Chiasson or Brodziak. The only place where any warm body gets big PP and first line minutes by default. I guess it's nice for them to be best at something.
