That must be a sad way to watch such a big game that's still close.

I blame Vladdy showing up in a friggin Matthews jersey. Might as well just come out and announce you’re gonna choke.

Thanked because it's funny, but I've decided the Jays will win.

Jays need a huge break or mistake from the Ms.
This has the look of a lot of the games last year and early this year when the other team had more runs than the Jays hits.
Now getting later in the game they are getting nervous too.
They are a better team then Seattle but have been out managed.

Feels like the Jays have gotten away from just trying to get the bat on the ball. Everyone is just swinging for the fences.

Alright, baby! A single feels like a home run right now. You MUST make something of this inning.

I read Gausman doesn’t pitch well on short rest. But what choice do they have when their bullpen stinks? Yikes.

Gausman coming in sadly reminds me of David Price coming in back when to less then desired effect.
He’s better than anyone else in the bullpen on short rest? Bassitt? Scherzer? This seems like Schneider trying too hard.

It's ridiculous how the Blue Jays do this almost on a schedule. Like they kill it for 3 or 4 games with smart, patient hitting, then they collectively as a team go "man, we're so good we dont even try at the plate!! Home runs for everyone!".
And then they all go swing crazy and subsequently cold together for a run of games. Unfortunately, they decided to swing like monkeys one of the biggest games in decades.

It looked like good contact leaving the bat. Had hoped for a second he had.

It's what everyone player on the Jays roster is doing tonight. Even Lukes is swinging for the fences with his eyes closed, when literally all his success has been short, smart swings to get singles. I dont ****ing get these guys.

Yeah I don't get why you had Bassit and Lauer on the roster with no intent to use them.
In the end it might not matter, feels like one of those nights where all the Jays bats are trying to do too much and none of them can string anything together

Putting Gausman in now makes me feel like the Jays are making desperation decisions.
