These vehicles are the replacement for the ones you used. They're essentially fresh off the line.

I didn’t reckon those were the same ones, although it wouldn’t have surprised me.

More details on the Makiivka hit, Moscow claims 63 but there is clearly a digit (or even two missing). There are also videos which seems to lead that even Ukrainian estimates may be low

Russian logic is 63 dead, because that is the amount of intact bodies. Those 14 pairs and limbs over in that corner could belong to one person.

Eat a d***. Or a HIMARS

That's cute. Then when Ukraine lights them up (heh) Russia will run to the United Nations crying that Ukraine practice black magic satanism and don't believe in Christmas peace.
Keep up the pressure UAF. As my buddy Gandalf would say:

Only a complete f'ing moron who is so fargone there is no possible chance of convincing them, could possibly read any statement by either the russian government or orthodox church about a ceasefire and take it seriously.
How dumb do you have to be to think that russia has any goodwill intents about a ceasefire to "celebrate" Christmas, when they shelled Kherson on literally Christmas day.
Stupid. Thankfully the UA government sees through this nonsense and hopefully will continue liquidating Orc trash in the spirit of Christmas.

Apparently, it was cell phones that gave them away. Ukraine just saw a huge buildup of cell phones signals all coming from the same spot and struck it.

Isn't that what the Russian military are saying, so they can deflect criticism from their strategic failures to blaming their own conscripted citizens for their own deaths? They were probably busy calling home asking for a blankey since their military can't even provide basics.

ABC news is reporting they have confirmation Americans will be sending M2 Bradleys to Ukraine soon. These were used to great effect against Iraqi T-72s in the first Gulf War. French are confirmed to sending an unconfirmed number AMX-10RC light tanks (wheeled). This is putting a lot of pressure on the Germans to send something as well, probably the Marder IFVs (more than likely Scholz will still say no to sending Leopard 2s, and continue blocking their re-export from other countries who have offered, like Spain).
Hopefully these will all arrive in time for spring. Ukrainians have been projecting they will need 2 full armored divisions ready for a big counter offensive by then.

MTBs would be nice, but the Marder is a good piece of kit.
Let’s hope more Western countries clear out some of their stock.

Problem w/ these out of date German systems is going to be spares. Germans never built enough parts to properly service the legacy systems like the Gepard and Marder while they were in front line service, much like the situation with the artillery barrels wearing out with the PzH2000s artillery units. The older Marders and Gepards are going to be even harder to get parts for since nothing is actively produced anymore and a lot of the parts/older units have been scrapped.
At least with the PzH2000s, they can still build parts. Marders and Gepards when they break down, they are likely toast for a long time unless someone can MacGuyver something together or they re-make the tooling and start limited run parts production (which won't be in time for the projected spring offensives for sure).

Not to downplay Russia's strategic failures, but it sounds like both sides have genuinely been tracking the other with cell phone data.
I'd say having all those troops clumped up into one building, given Ukraine MO of striking buildings like that was a pretty big failure to start with.

And it isn't that they were all in the same building. The building was also storing a massive amount of ammo. They basically put them in a bomb.
