Stay tuned for my 9 paragraph explanation about why every human killed on one side is an inevitable occurrence due to their own actions, and every human killed on the other side is a tragedy…

No every word is true, my mate (well kid I knew from school) was shot on patrol in the 80's, the bomb went off in Kensington/Earls Ct, I think it was INLA rather than the Provos, it didnt kill anyone but scared the ####e out of us and blew out windows all over the Gloucester Rd, I doubt anyone my age that went up west to shop on Oxford St hasn't been evacuated form Debenhams or Harrods or Lilywhites, the Christmas bombing campaigns of the 70's were very widespread, the bombs themselves mostly small and performative although it is weird to be waiting in a long line to get onto the escalator knowing that you might be about to get blown up

What size of bomb? There must be a link to the story somewhere as them days were fertilizer. So must have been loaded and more to take out windows 2 streets away.
Stop being so dramatic.

Lol. I'd pay good money to listen to you at a party.
The Ricky Gervais quote: "Remember, when you are dead, you do not know you are dead. It is only painful for others..... springs to mind.

Nothing says life of the party like having a dozen talking points rationalizing why the death of 10s of thousands of civilians is a necessary means to an end.

And whoosh! Right over your head. He's the entertainment.
I'm sure yours would be fun if your behaviour in this thread is anything to go by
You'd start the party then throw a tantrum, call the cops asking them to shut it down down and get everyone to leave because the conversation didn't go the way you wanted.

I was 21 at the time and worked in a group home in Kensington less than a mile away from Hyde Park so my guess is was the Hyde Park bombing of the Blues and Royals but Chelsea Barracks wasn't far either and they blew up a huge nail bomb outside that then there was the bomb they let off outside the TA barracks on Hammersmith Rd, that was about 10 blocks from the home as well, all of them were walking close but the Chelsea barracks were to far to break the windows
A lot of crap went down in the area in those days to be fair, me and a few kids walked down to watch the Iranian Embassy seige which was half a mile away, group home outing of a different type

Why bother explaining, it seems he's some kind of expert on terrorist bombings
Sidenote: I had a aunt in the 70's on her way home when a bomb went off right next to her bus in a south London conference centre trashcan that killed one and injured about a 100 more, apparently the bomb was like 2lbs in a paper bag put in the trash, the sound of blast and seeing the injured people running out freaked her out so much she quit her art teaching job and returned to Canada a month later.
Here's the crazy part, as far as I know she never taught art again but she became a customs officer at Pearson airport with her very own sniffer dogs for drugs and explosives.

Yup. Didn't happen. Your story is changing and all over the place.
You said your location was Kensington/Earls Court and a couple of blocks away which is nowhere near the scene of the f Hyde park bomb. Not to mention being caught up in an event like that is something you'd remember. Not to mention there is zero record of a car bomb of a magnitude to take out windows two blocks away in the area your group home was in.
Sidetracking the thread but had to call you on that porkie.

Well, I would agree that it's a good thing when terrorists, like Hamas and Hezbollah are eliminated (though I still believe what's happening will just create more in the years to come when the orphans grow up), but I'm not sure the entire world is celebrating what's happening in the region, unless the world is defined as the west, which is a minority of the world's population. Our media out here in North America didn't show us the many delegates walking out of the UN as Netanyahu prepared to address the group.

The other poster had mentioned that the world is celebrating and I don't that's the case.

So it's not just posters on CP that are disgusted with Bibi's actions? Shocking, really. They must all be Hamas supporters and lovers of terrorists.
