I was out all night, avoided the scores and didn't read any social media or texts from friends talking about the game. I was too horrified/nervous.
This is 100% the last thing I expected to find. This is the definition of "like Christmas morning."

You don't deserve this morning if you didn't go through the agony of watching/following along last night.

I went from the Golden State - Raptors game at Rogers Arena straight to The Pint in gastown to watch the rest of the game, I almost puked when Osuna balked Betts in. Now I am trying to decide where I am going to watch todays game!

I don't think I would have survived. Kudos to those that stuck it out. Bless your poor exhausted hearts.

Don't worry, if/when they do make the playoffs, you'll miss every game! ...I'm still quite bitter about those 1pm weekday ALDS/ALCS schedules for the Jays last season. I'm sure it'll be the same this year

And you can bet we'll get them again because Boston will get all the prime time slots.

So infuriating. No sport is a slave to history quite like baseball. They know they can play night games in the playoffs right?

They do, but they slot it so the games have very little overlap. Bigger draws get the prime time games. It sucks, but I get it.

Braves throwing their best starter at Detroit today with Julio Teheran.
Bad news is Detroit counters with Verlander.
Good news from that, Jays can't face Verlander in a potential playoff.

Looks like we're rolling out Sanchez today. Not sure how i feel about it with a playoff spot locked up. But on the other hand a win guarantees a wildcard spot with no playoff, not sure there is a right decision here.

Three teams tie for two Wild Card spots
If three teams finish with the same record they would receive an A, B or C designation. Think of this almost like a draft, and the team that holds the tiebreaker over the other two gets the "first pick" and can choose the scenario it likes best.
For example, let's assume that Team A (first pick) and Team B (second pick) both choose the designations that give them two chances to make the postseason, leaving Team C with only one chance. Teams A and B would play at the home field of Team A on Tuesday.
The winner of that game would become the host team in the actual Wild Card Game on Thursday; the loser would travel to face Team C on Wednesday.
The winner of that game would earn the second Wild Card spot, and would be the road team against the winner of Tuesday's game in the AL Wild Card Game.
However, according to MLB.com's Jon Paul Morosi, the Orioles will be throwing a wrinkle into conventional wisdom if there is a three-way tie between them, the Blue Jays and Tigers. Sources told him that the Blue Jays, who had the "first pick," would host the Tigers in the first game on Tuesday. (Remember: In this scenario, the Tigers will have had to play a makeup game on Monday just to force the three-way tie.)
However, the Orioles, who had second preference, will opt for "C" designation, meaning that they would be choosing to rest their pitching staff and host one winner-take-all game at Camden Yards rather than risk having to play two road games on consecutive days in different cities. The downside of this strategy is that Baltimore would be forfeiting any chance of hosting the actual AL Wild Card Game. The club has not confirmed this.

So the wildcard game is on Tuesday? If needed, when would 163 be?

Based off which scenario plays out, sounds like wildcard game could be tues/wed/thurs.
A game 163 if necessary would be Tuesday.
Detroit update: Braves score early against Verlander, up 1-0 on Tigers.
