I remember having this discussion during the fan 960 snack bracket a few years ago. I said the same thing, those things are just insanely salty now, did not enjoy them the last few times I tried them

I hate to admit this, but I had literally this exact combination as a snack last night. Didn't find the Hawkins overly salty.

The last time we had this conversation (and I agree they've gotten a lot saltier, used to be my go-to snack) someone said that they were the last hold out to trans fats but eventually had to change the recipe which is why they taste different.

I actually do roll everywhere with a prop cigarette in my mouth these days, though. But surely that wouldn't affect my taste buds.

These are the ones I use. Have one in my house, one at my desk at work, one in my car and one in my wife's car. Been doing it for about seven or eight months. It's like an adult soother in a way. Feels kind of cool to have it hanging off my lip, looks super bad ass, and I guess I like having something to fiddle with. Didn't go over well at first to people around me, but now I'm pretty sure no one really notices.

When I did a stint as an extra on Fargo they asked if I’d willing to smoke for a scene and they gave me these fake cigarettes that actually light up and give off a good amount of smoke, but don’t taste or smell like anything. That might be a better effect for the vibe Sliver is trying to give off.
