Next up was Rocky IV theatrical cut. Is this a good movie? Probably not. Is it overly cheesy? Yes. But do I love it and enjoy it immensely? Also yes. This movie really shouldn't work as well as it does, but it just does, and a large part of it is due to Dolph Lundgren's performance as Ivan Drago. There are so many montages of just upbeat music to Sly working out. The only thing I don't like about it is why did they have to kill my man Apollo Creed?

Apollo Creed's death sets up the Creed series of movies, which are somehow amazing.
The only bad film in that entire series, of now 9 films, is Rocky V.

Deadpool & Wolverine was outstanding. It didn't take itself seriously at all, and the chemistry between Reynold and Jackman is pretty evident in the result. Even with as much that has leaked about the film over the last year it still had plenty of surprises. As a sucker for meta-humour I was overwhelmingly pleased with a lot of the jokes.
Please don't stop making Deadpool movies.
Finally saw this yesterday.
Could not agree more.
Enjoyed it so much
Took a shot in the dark and saw ####oo tonight. It was between that and Borderlands, and based on the 3% rating for Borderlands I made the right choice. I also love Dan Stevens, with his German accent I was sold.
As it was my second Neon movie in a month, I liked it more than Longlegs. The idea was very interesting, and there were a few real chilling moments. The concept was interesting, and I liked what Stevens's character was wanting to do. Matter of fact all the character moments worked, and there were emotional bits I connected with.
The title itself is rather apt as the movie itself is rather ####oo. However with it being a Neon A-24 movie I expected nothing different. The mystery behind the retreat was interesting. I wasn't blown away, but overall I'd say the movie was good. Dan Stevens is consistently good in everything he does.

You may feel like watching The Instigators on Apple+ is a worthwhile endeavour and you would be wrong. Instead I recommend spending 90 minutes ramming an unsharpened pencil directly up your peehole as that would be an infinitely more interesting use of time than watching this pile of trash is. It’s actually impressive how boring they managed to make a film with so many big name actors. Once again money laundering is the big winner here.

Good to know. I was considering watching that. Everything on Apple+ has proven to be total garbage. I expect Wolfs to be the same, as the trailer does not look good. Apple+ likes to waste money on garbage scripts with big names in it. Yet nearly every movie they've done has proven to be awful (Argylle, Napoleon, Greyhound, Jobs, Emancipation, Ghosted, The Family Plan, Fly Me to the Moon, Masters of the Air, among others).
They should fire whoever is in charge of approving their scripts.
There was never any prospect of live action Borderlands content ever being good anyway.

I can't believe it took me this long to watch Dr. Strangelove. It took a minute to get into the swing of where it was going, but wow is that a good film.
George C. Scott and Peter Sellers put on absolute masterclasses. The final scene is brilliant, and I'm still rolling at that last line:
Spoiler!
"Mein Fuhrer. I can walk!"

I never thought Fallout would be any good and yet somehow Amazon managed to do just that. Borderlands is probably a bit more difficult task on the big screen but it seems like they couldn't even make a forgettable summer action movie as this one will be remembered for the wrong reasons.
As expected for a shyamalan film, the dialogue in Trap took some bizarre turns.
Hey kiddo, want to go explore down that trap door in the flloor? Looks so cool!
The lines in Shama-llama's movies are the script version of "human music"
I'll usually check out everything he does but after I found out the movie is pretty much a commercial for his daughter's singer career I decided to pass. Yeah, yeah, people love their kids and want to help them out but the nepobaby thing is starting to annoy me.

Very much reminds me of video game movies in 2000 - 2015 or so, where the casting is terrible, the content is neutered down to get a PG-13 rating, and it's all just a pay check for everyone involved with no care or interest in the actual property. Deserves exactly what it gets.

Commercial or not, I've seen worse movies for sure.

My favorite film of all time. Seriously, #1 on my list. Glad you finally got around to watching it.

So, I just watched 'Twisters' and while it doesnt have the same gravitas as the original and in many, many spots is a beat-for-beat re-make it was still an entertaining film.
It was well acted and well done.
The thing is...Glen Powell has the perfect '######-face.' He plays his part perfectly.
Its nothing Earth-shattering, but its a fun watch. I'd say a solid 6.5/10 if you go in without outrageous expectations. It could even be higher than that.
Its well acted, the effects are good, the acting is what you'd expect the only real drawback is the story, while good and fun, is nothing if not completely predictable.
Temper your expectations and this is a fun film. And I was expecting to hate it. I do not. I thought it was quite enjoyable.
