I don't know if I'm feeling very top 5 list-ish today, but just have to throw a couple names out there.
The Secret of NIMH
Spirited Away
Princess Mononoke
South Park, Bigger, Longer, and Uncut
All the mention of Disney films and no mention of Moana, which I think is a modern classic.
And while I appreciate Disney films for their entertainment value, they're mostly not that interesting.

Yup, maybe top 2.
There's a lot of good stuff out there though so it's really hard to order. The Spider-Verse movies. A bunch of Ghibli stuff. As you say Moana, and the Incredibles is also top tier. Beauty and the Beast belongs with Lion King at the top of the Disney list.
Prince of Egypt though I haven't watched it for a long time so not sure if it holds up. The Last Unicorn and Anastasia the same.
Your Name plus a bunch of other really good anime movies.
So top 5 for me might be something like
1. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
2. Iron Giant
3. Spirited Away
4. The Incredibles
5. Lion King / Aladdin (I go back and forth)

Top movies of all times lists very much correlate with the era in which the author grew up, and as such, I try not to put much stock in them.
Animated, James Bond, Star Wars, Star Trek, comedies, action, etc, etc - the cultural context, animation styles, and storytelling techniques prevalent during one's formative years can significantly shape preferences and perceptions.
Also, The Lion King is overrated. Much of the success comes from riding the coattails of The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin. I'd probably slot it into the end of a top 10 list, but only so ravenous millennials don't show up at my house one evening with pitchforks and torches. Again.

Some other animated movies id like to suggest that are worth watching:
Watership Down
Heavy Metal
Perfect Blue
Delta Space Mission (just watch it for the vibes)
Coco
Atlantis
Nightmare Before Christmas
Treasure Planet
I'm a big fan of animation, I'd love to get into studio Ghibli but don't know where to start.

Most memorable animated movie for me was easily the 1986 Transformers movie. That movie absolutely scarred me, especially the death of Prowl, which literally gave me nightmares.
It was so odd watching the makers talk years later about how they didn't think the deaths were such a big deal, they were just trying to sell a brand new line of toys.

Titan AE, Atlantis and Treasure Planet are all great movies.
Ralph Bakshi's Wizards is fantastic.

I’d start with some of their stuff from the 80s personally. Nausicaa and Castle in the Sky are both very good, and if your heart can bear it, Grave of the Fireflies is as well. You don’t need to watch them in order or anything, but that’s where I’d start.
As for animated films as a whole, Bambi is the Citizen Kane of animated movies imo. It does some of the same things as Fantasia, but does them better imo. Less than 900 words are spoken in the whole film, it uses music as a narrative driver far more than is remembered, and the animation veers from startlingly realistic to abstract seemlessly. The animation is Bambi is exquisite. The Disney artists swapped out their watercolours for oils for the backgrounds and they purvey a richness and depth that I don’t know they ever touched again. The movies social message is invaluable for kids imo and it’s message if environmental stewardship as well as its handling of death and coming of age and depiction of survival as a member of the natural order laid the groundwork that inspired generations of animators in the years since to follow its lead, including a of the names mentioned here- Bird, Miyazaki, Bluth etc.

They recently released all 6 Rocky films in a great 4K box set, first up today was Rocky. It's my favorite sports movie, it's perfect and deserved the Oscar for best picture. It's crazy how different the first one is to the sequels, this one is much more melodrama than action movie. Also they did great with the transfer, the picture looks fantastic. I'm glad I waited for this release, earlier they did a box set with just the first 4 films excluding Rocky 5 and the underated Rocky Balboa .

I watched Thelma. A new comedy movie about a grandma that gets scammed on the phone for money and goes out on a revenge mission.
I loved it because it reminded me of my Mom in so many ways from the start right till the end of the movie. 4/5
