Obviously they should show mercy and implement straight to penalties after 90 if we get there. The possibility of 30 more minutes of this is cruel.

Why why why did I have to choose England as my team when I was a lad? Their games are so boring. Feels like they're always solid, defensively sound squads, but never have that dynamic playmaker up front other countries produce.
EDIT: haha I jinxed it. At least something happened!

I know teams go into shells after taking a lead, but there was nothing in the buildup or play after conceding or on shot by Saka thay screamed desperation by England there; they just suddenly had some purpose and smartened up.
That said it was inches from getting blocked by two defenders and the chance wouldn't have made the post game highlights if blocked.

Its classic Southgate.
Didn't make any subs until almost the 80th minute and England had no sting in their attack until..."Oh crap...we might lose this"
And then all of a sudden they start playing!

Its part of a new woke British Initiative to not over-work Goaltenders.
Its admirable and very socially conscious if you think about it.
Southgate understands that goaltenders work hard and you shouldn't make them have to work harder.
