There's tons of us who understand what Backlund brings - smart, tenacious, reliable.
Backlund at his best is a terrific player that any team would want. When he's not at his best, he's not real effective, his game is a hard-work oriented one.
His lack of scoring prowess makes casual fans under-rate what he brings to the game.
