That's actually good. Then the people who want to pay for it can use it amongst themselves and I never have to hear about it.
... I wish.

I just don't see many people permanently moving away from Twitter to another similar app. People want to follow the largest audience and the most creators/publishers they care about. A whole bunch of similar alternatives will try to bleed off users from Twitter during this turmoil, but they're all also competing against each other in addition to competing against Twitter, so none of them are likely to replace what Twitter offers as the town square. No creator wants to have to duplicate posts and build followings on several very similar new platforms to reach their audience, and no users want to use several similar apps just to follow the people they like. The result is that the incumbent platform has a huge advantage. Those that still want what Twitter offers will mostly go back in time when they find the alternatives can't really compete on audience and on content.

Meh. All it takes is one or two prominent figures to move their account to one of the other sites. Especially if Musk tries to force people to pay for Twitter.

I don't understand your take on this.
so If you constantly use your words to hurt my feelings, your verbal abuse ruins my mental health, that's ok to you?
things that affect my mental health do cause me harm, including physical symptoms. You're really making light of verbal abuse and the affects of it on your health, by calling it simply "hurt feelings"

If he continues to push into everyone paying - it will die or at least lose a ton of users.
If it becomes even more a cesspool - people will just leave.
But for me at least - its the same old site it is was before he bought it so no reason to leave.
You do have to question the health of a site where you: - Don't want to click on any tweets and read the replies
- Don't want to click on 75% of the trending topics because it will be full of dopes
- For a lot of people, including me, just don't want to tweet because you don't want to get trolls fighting in your replies and getting notifications until you mute them
But it was that way before Musk as well. And to be fair, pretty much any site with comments is the same.

It’s simple really: If your feeling are hurt, you’re just being a snowflake. Man up.

I just need some clarification on something:
Kanye wasn’t cancelled because he deserved it, so it’s not cancel culture when he got cancelled. Jordan Peterson wasn’t actually cancelled, but he effectively was, and that’s why cancel culture is bad…do I have that right?
