Belgium has more talent but England have played much better as an overall team. Croatia has been impressive, but you'd still rather draw them than Germany or France.
Wasn't arguing that fact - was arguing the fact that they would have a cakewalk to the finals.
Croatia just beat Spain, Belgium has loads of talent, and even Portugal can still be on that side of the bracket.
England probably still would have went out in the Quarters - it's tradition.
I'm gonna say joining Slovakia and Northern Ireland as 3rd place finishers will be Ireland and Austria. Ireland actually caught a nice break with Croatia winning because now Italy really have nothing to play for with a locked in match up, and with Spain up next you figure they'll rest all of their starters.

Italy should be eligible to let Belgium win the group (i.e if they tie, Italy can choose second place). They easily beat Belgium, yet Belgium gets a much easier path to the finals? Doesn't seem very fair.

yeah but it happens. In World Cups all 1st place teams play all 2nd place teams and when one of the big guns slip, we have a nasty 2nd round match. Like England-Germany in 2010. Last World Cup everyone thought Brazil was going to get either Holland or Spain in the 2nd round, but Spain slipped and it was Chile instead.

Haha wow. Best night of my life. Ill post a proper post with pics and vids when I have time but that was amazing.
P. S. there was almost no security walking into the stadium. One pat down by the Stewards and that it. Full blown army outside of the stadium and at the harbour though.

Italy wins their group and depending on this afternoon's outcome, could be the only team to reach 9 points in the group stage and you're rewarded by playing Spain and potentially Germany and France while Belgium gets a cake walk right to the Final.
Like Girly said, Italy never makes it easy on themselves. I am not that worried about Germany as we always do well against them but man Spain is going to be tough on Monday.
I also wasn't posting it to knock Ronaldo, I just found it to be pretty hilarious. I liked him doing that.
Oh I get it, I bash Ronaldo plenty but I give him total props on this one. That was great!
I was just thinking that in hockey when reporters are in the scrums they use their phones to record interviews, its just a shame that wasnt buddy's phone.
