Kyrgios is mostly frustrating because he clearly has #1 type talent but he's got the attitude and mental game of a 13-year old kid. Maybe he puts it together at some point but right now he's just a waste of talent.
Well, he has said in the past that he doesn't actually like tennis and was basically pushed into it by his parents. When a guy doesn't actually have a passion for his occupation, he will almost never reach the top of his field.

Oh he's gonna struggle to even stay ranked until he gets his head out of his ass. But if he ever does he clearly has a lot of talent, maybe more than anyone on tour. If nothing else we'll get to see him once more this week when he and Genie play mixed together. Maybe she can calm him down.
Even after a visit from the trainer Milos takes the second set. Obviously gotta close this out in 3 to rest the back.

I'd liken him to a guy like Radulov for Nashville. Once in a while he shows flashes of huge talent, but then you don't expect to see him for several weeks.

That really hurts because his potential next opponent just had a draining 5 set match, so getting out in 3 quick sets would have been ideal. Now it gets tricky with the back.

Well he does not look good physically right now which is probably affecting the serve. He's gonna struggle to win the next match if he's still around this level of health.

Outside of the Connecticut mess last week which was probably more about wanting to be in New York for the Nike event, the number one difference between March-July Genie and current Genie is she's playing with more heart and more desire. She wants it again. Wins the first set 6-3.

Hercog is an interesting player to watch. She hovers on that baseline with average returns, but she can blast a killer forehand, seemingly, from no where.
Genie fights back again to get back on serve in the second set.
And now she's up a break and can (hopefully) serve it out. The game (and serve mostly) is still not up the level it needs to be, but heart and grit alone can get her back in the top 20.
