Ok but what is his connection with Max? He wasn't drafted by the Oil or Nucks.
It was believed that he had 1st round talent but with issues. Namely, his bat-#### crazy dad. That dropped him to where we had our first pick of the draft; in the 3rd.
It was the safe pick vs. Potential argument.
I'm thrilled with the pick, and think it may have been Sutters finest draft.

7G and 7A in 23 games now. This puts him into a tie for third in team scoring. The top 3 are basically Providence's first line. All but two of his assists have been the primary assist.

There are no highlights yet from the Providence game. It is interesting to note that when down by one in the final minute, both Jankowski and Gilmour were on the ice (Gilmour got an assist on the goal too).

Sure is fascinating reading fan opinions of old drafts
... and to see how many posters have lifetime suspensions! (Does anyone know what happened to Bertuzzied? I didn't realise he's been kicked until I checked that old thread).
Back to topic, it's amazing that a 2-point night catapults Jankowski into 2nd in team scoring. That Providence team is really focused on D.

Late in the first, BC was short-handed, and Johnny flipped the puck up and skated through three players and came out with a beautiful scoring chance. He wasn't able to bury it, but it was pretty.
Controversial finish to the first period. Big pile-up in the BC crease and apparently the puck squeaked in. Refs went to review. Since the streaming feed is from the scoreboard feed, they haven't yet shown a replay. 1-1 after 1.

Is it me or is Arnold pouring it on in his final season at BC? Mind you, it's seems like BC's offence scores like it's almost academic so. Watching these posts about Johnny and Bill raise my hopes ever so slightly every time.
Cannot wait for them to sign (with the Flames you pessimists).
During the first period tonight, one of the announcers was saying that he was talking to Arnold before the game and even though he's having such a strong year, he's still a little frustrated because he could have even more goals because of getting so many set-ups from Gaudreau.
Right before they were talking about that, Gaudreau had gone into the zone on a 1-on-4 and dished it to Arnold who was able to get a nice shot away because the other team was all swarming Johnny.
With his goals tonight, Arnold has extended his own point streak to 9 games.
Here's an extended highlights package from last night's game. There's plenty of praise for Arnold winning the face-off prior to the empty netter.
