A "few" from the Olympics...

One of the American gals at Ladies Moguls, maybe Barhke?

Robson Square Zipline

Downtown Vancouver from Jericho Beach

Sweden vs. Slovakia, women's hockey

Russia's women's curling team.

FFFFFFFKKKKKK (USA - red stones - calls timeout)

Haha, Canadians...

Colbert works the crowd

At the behest of the mob, Colbert rides the moose.

Inukshuk (not the big one at English Bay, one of the many little ones at False Creek)

Some kind of bird.

Nice car, asian dude.

Vancouver at night, again.

Olympic Flame

Switzerland vs. Belarus went into a shootout.

So many volunteers, some of whom clearly had too much time on their hands.

Mascots - Miga and Quatchi

Inappropriate mascots!

Men's Aerials

You don't really see how high they get on TV.

"Ignite the dream" at Robson Square.

... meanwhile, people keep skating like nothing's happening above them.

The torch at night.

Fireworks at LiveCity Yaletown.

See of Red at the the hockey final. Ruined by the IOC seats.

These guys were up in the bleachers, not where you'd get on TV.

Woohoo! We win!

Perry goes and gets the big flag.

At the CTV studio on Robson street.

Downtown Vancouver at dusk, seen from Lonsdale Quay.

A bit later, in the brief window where the wind was co-operating for reflections.

Vancouver couldn't decide if it was fall or spring apparently. Even this tree seemed to think it was both, but was sure it wasn't winter.

Lens that goes to 200mm, you make it too easy.

I've been admiring many of the amazing photos in this thread for a while, so I figured I should stop being lazy and post a few (ok, more than a few) I've taken over the past few years.

Downtown

Maligne Lake early in the morning

Bald Hill lookout hike with the girlfriend at Maligne lake

Medicine lake

Hockey at lake Louise

Lake Louise

Time-lapse on the highway

Maroon Mountain, near Terrace BC

Sunrise this morning, f/22 and the biggest, baddest ND filter I have (2-stop, haha - it's the only one I have) to blur the cars as much as possible.

I'm not much of a photographer. I just use a point-and-shoot. Here's a few I've gotten lucky on over the last few years.

From Prince's Island Park this summer

Beltline this summer

Calgary skyline from SAIT campus, Martin Cohos Commons in foreground, a few summers ago

Creek out toward Caroline I think (can't really recall), a couple summers ago

Prairie landscape south of Drumheller a couple summers ago

Almost stepped on this little guy while on the job, east of Rocky Mountain House a couple summers ago

Foothills NW of Cochrane

Lethbridge's south side skyline, from across the Oldman River, a couple summers ago

Leaf prints on the sidewalk

Oldest university building still operating in Canada, Sir Howard Douglas Hall, built in 1827, University of New Brunswick in Fredericton

Street in Fredericton, NB during the fall

Path leading down to a beach on island of Oahu, Hawaii, a few summers ago

Gawd, that M-Tech Building is beautiful. Truly one of Calgary's finest pieces of architecture.

Regulator75, how do you get all these different views? Do you just wander into random buildings?

You saying that just makes me think how generally plain and uninteresting Calgary architecture is.

I'm a bit of an architecture and urban enthusiast.

I'll try to get anywhere I can.
