Sadly Dbrand too swamped to do a custom one for another month or so - good that they are doing great though.

Your time will come. Have patience. I had to wait a month.
In the meantime, enjoy your Nexus 4.
Here are some apps I am using to customize mine:
- Nova Launcher
- Minimalistic Text
- Beautiful Widget Pro
- BobClockD3
- Circle battery Widget
- CountDown Widget
- HD Widgets
- Zooper Widget Pro
Yes, some of these are paid apps. But totally worth it, if you REALLY want to customize your Nexus 4...or any Android for that matter.
Example: You know that annoying Google search bar at the top? Removed it with the Nova Launcher. Looks great! More room to customize.

If you have the money, absolutely. Screen is gorgeous and the 2GB RAM is a necessity for multitasking on Android IMO.

I sort of like the google search bar.
But I am interested in other customizations.

I had just assumed the KitKat contest wouldn't be in Canada. I know what I'll be snacking on the next week.
Nice Nexus 5 mock up up above. I dropped my Nexus for from about 5 feet onto concrete this afternoon, thought I was done. It's still good!

It's already at 2560×1600 so unless it somehow goes even higher nothing new there.
3GB RAM would certainly be nice. More apps able to 'sit' in the background, especially something like Chrome.
Whatever they throw in their will certainly be a powerhouse but hardly any positive surprises.
And expandable micro-SD slot? Sounds like a lot of wishful thinking really.
Only things I'm really looking forward to the new Nexus devices is design, confirmation of pricepoints (to an extension, no more $100 extra for 16GB) and assuming those are favorable, availability.

I would be shocked if it has Micro SD. It might make sense since Samsung makes the Nexus 10 but Google has been pretty consistent with no expandable storage on their Nexus devices, can't see them changing it now.

I was more referring to the price. $299 for a 10" tablet would be a game changer.

I will report my findings.

So I just bought a friends old Nexus 4 to use instead of my iPhone 4 while I transition to telus from rogers. I have to say there's definitley something about using a device instead of just playing it. After a few hours of using this phone I'm overwhelmed with how much better the android OS enviroment is over the iphone enviroment. It's smarter in so many subtle ways. What a tremendous phone. Ill def be using this phone until the nexus 5 comes out then pick that up.
Just awesome.

I doubt its going to be called the Nexus 5, probably Nexus 4X or something similar.
As it stands, the Nexus lineup of the Nexus 4, 7, and 10 are named because of their screen sizes. 4" phone, 7" tablet, and 10" tablet.

Well from the picture and early reports the Nexus 5 is supposed to be 5" or slightly larger, so the name still fits. I've been looking hard at the LG G2 as my next phone, but if the rumors are true and the new Nexus does have a larger screen I'll probably grab that instead

The new Nexus is still a couple months away but unless it blows me away I doubt I'll be upgrading... though I guess at that price point it's always a possibility. For most the big thing will be LTE, but with Wind Mobile it's a non-factor for me anyways so will probably stick with my current one.

I'm still extremely tempted by the HTC One. I just wish I could get one off contract for a non-ridiculous price.
