She needs to get this up and down for birdie to make the cut. Can't see it moving to E.

She missed from 6'4", but it turns out it wouldn't have mattered, the cut moved to -2.

If nothing else, she's earned another start. She definitely has the horsepower to keep up.

Sneaky big day for Canadians in Vegas today. Hadwin birdying 18 for solo second should get him firmly in the top 50 world golf rankings year end, which gets him into all majors, and I don't think he was in any. Pendrith's T3 takes him from 123 bubble boy to 88th in the Fedex and secures full status next year.

Hadwin tripled 16 apparently or he would have won.

Well, bogeyed it but felt like a triple I guess

About 200 in for his second on a par five and toe sliced into the water. Hit a wedge to 5 feet to try to save par and missed the putt.

Teach me for taking someone elses word.

Still though great result and probably a huge chunk of change for the bank account.

Nothing like making a $400k putt.

I'm pretty sure that putt got him into the Masters too. He moved up to 46 today from 56, and don't think a 5 way tie for second would have done it.

Phil Mickelson on Wednesday said a revised agreement "kind of opens the door" for other PGA Tour players to join the LIV Golf League, with the six-time major champion hinting that the breakaway league's roster is "going to improve next year."

"Do I think that? No. I know that's going to happen," Mickelson said at a news conference at Trump National Doral Golf Club outside Miami, the site of this weekend's LIV Golf League team championship. "When players look at LIV, they are wanting to be a part of it. Everybody here is happy and enjoying what we are doing and enjoying the team aspect of it and enjoying each other and the camaraderie and enjoying playing golf globally and all the benefits that come with playing this tour.

"The reality is, I've been fielding calls, as we all have, from players that are agents to PGA Tour players, to DP World Tour players that want to come over," Mickelson said. "It's probably going to be filled by the time the qualifying tournament is here. If I'm just being truthful, that's a very real possibility."

Very emotional win for him today. I think with his new coach and the gains that are shown in his last few rounds he could be a top 20 player next season.

He was as high as 7th way back when. At 41 the top 20 might be a stretch, but he's got the hard part done as he's in the Masters and the Players.

Horses for courses, I suppose.

Fifteen-time major champion Tiger Woods is returning to competitive golf in two weeks, as he announced Saturday on X that he plans to compete in the Hero World Challenge, an event he hosts in the Bahamas from Nov. 30-Dec. 3.

It will be Woods' first start since he withdrew during the third round of the Masters at Augusta National Golf Club in April. He had subtalar fusion surgery on his right ankle two weeks later to address post-traumatic arthritis that was caused by injuries suffered in a February 2021 car wreck.

That was such a tough putt for 59 on the 18th. About ten feet and he'd probably sink it 9 out of 10 times under any other circumstance.

The announcer nailed it though, "you could just see the stiffness and adrenaline running through him"

10 ft make percentage is only 40% on the pga tour. Shot link had that one at 16'5, which is more like 25%. It looked like a solid putt.

I'll take two Canadians in the top 5 any day of the week.

With the President's cup in Canada this year, and Weir the captain, I wonder how many Canadians he can get away with putting on the team.

https://www.presidentscup.com/standi...rnational-team

Connors for sure. At least one of Hadwin or Taylor. And then Svensson is really close too. Pendrith and Hughes are in the picture too.

If they could all play well and 6 of those guys could get into the top 13 or 14, that would make for a much more fun President's cup than normal!

Azinger dropped by NBC Golf in favour of Curt Byrum.
