Looks like the reporter was willing to hook in the name of charity. No wonder the Trumpers love her.

Real message from a good friend who lives basically on the Arkansas/Louisiana line. Their family got out of farming at the end of last year due to a couple different reasons.

"apparently 40 farmers in our area went out/couldn't get loans this year. and more are still working on it and some wont get theirs. Have never seen anything like this. Our friend planted 900 acres and did the math on what he'd lose this year and said NOPE. He's gonna let someone buy him out and he's quitting."

BUT Trump and the tariffs aren't the reason.... no... /s

If this administration gets another term directly after this one then visiting the US will be the literal least of your (and every Canadian's) problems, lol.

What’s really scary is, many in the US (maybe not as many who voted Trump in the las election) want this too

I heard Scott Galloway say the other day, 25% of Americans are open to autocracy, as long as the leader is on their side.

I don't know which poll he was taking the stats from, but wouldn't surprise me.

Who designs this ####. Looks nothing like him. Slim and a full head of hair.

What’s he doing with his left hand? This looks suspiciously AI to me

I initially assumed he was holding his diaper, but googling the original "assassination" photos, he was holding a MAGA hat, and looking closer, that seems to be it.

EDIT: There are many different photos and videos of it, so I think it is real.

It makes his legs look very short and that his diaper is full

The more upsetting thing that took place before the Bannon interview was Maher humanizing Trump in his little "book review" dinner at the White House and calling himself a "centrist".

Trump moderated himself at a dinner with you and Kid Rock where he was fully aware that you were going to talk about it on your show this week. What a revelation.

I'm not sure how a guy as seemingly intelligent at Bill Maher falls for that s###, but then again he has developed a habit of outing himself as a rather dim person over the last handful of years.

I dont really understand what Maher has been doing for the past couple years. I don't follow him or watch his shows but he pops up from time to time.

I think he considers himself a centrist, but some of his takes on social issues land him pretty right.

I guess to answer my own question, it seems like he's just showing us who he really is.

Maher really hasn't changed very much despite people being really critical of him over the last 6 to 10 years. I've been watching him and been a fan since his Politically Incorrect days and his views and liberal stance is largely the same.

He listed the things he and trumpers agree on in that segment and none of them are very far right. The most controversial statement he made there was "biological men shouldn't be playing women's sports", which if we're being totally honest is probably a pretty mainstream statement in the USA as a whole, unfortunately.

As far as humanizing Trump, he basically just recounted what happened. It's reasonable to interpret that as Trump moderating himself, obviously, but not sure what you want Maher to do aside from not go in the first place. If Trump was on his best behaviour that's really all he can report; i.e. nothing crazy happened.

Maher is just... not funny and so smug he's basically unwatchable. His panelists always seem to mirror that tone. I don't know who that show is for or why it's still on.
