The leader of Immigration and Customs Enforcement said that his dream for the agency is squads of trucks rounding up immigrants for deportation the same way that Amazon trucks crisscross American cities delivering packages.
“We need to get better at treating this like a business,” Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons said, explaining he wants to see a deportation process “like (Amazon) Prime, but with human beings.”
Im sure this will be fine

BARTIROMO: Increasingly people are expecting we're heading for a recession. I spoke with a CEO over the wknd, he said we're already in one. So how do you deal with that?
BESSENT: What the CEO may have alluded to is that the manufacturing sector under the previous administration was in a recession.

"We need to get better at treating this like a business", or in other words get better at dehumanizing the people we don't like so we can stuff them into cattle cars like cords of wood.
JFC these people are evil.

The idea is that tariffs will replace taxes for government income. Except citizens end up paying it anyway, and the tariffs are too low to make up for the loss of income taxes. Plus, you know, the whole global market meltdown.
Also, tariffs are a consumption tax, so the elimination of income tax only works for industry, commercial and people's investments. It shifts almost all of the burden of running an effective government onto the lower and middle class.

Sounds like something Heinrich Himmler would have said.

Well, losing one's clearance for leaking classified information and then being under investigation for that isn't authoritarian itself, but announcing it at a press conference is definitely weird...
Both Krebs and Taylor didn't kiss the ring, Krebs came out publicly to say the 2020 election was not rigged, Taylor wrote books detailing what was going on inside the White House.....and then he also endorsed Biden.
Trump's own people recently texted a journalist classified info in a group chat before dropping bombs............and nothing happened to them.
This has nothing to do with leaking info or anything of the sort. It's about payback - full stop. You don't kiss the ring? He'll come after you. Using the DOJ to go after these guys is insane. It's all a show and a warning to others. Going down a very dark path.
Barr wasnt a great AG but at least he didnt weaponize the DOJ completely like this clownshow is. Does this one ever go to her office and actually work, shes doing tv spots constantly.
