Oh wow, I really hope this happens. Extremely slim chance but this would be fun:

If Bluejays wind up tied with Mariners Orioles & Tigers then Jays and M's would host, O's get to choose their opponent. Winners get WC.

Wait....this just confused me so much....so HOW does this work?? I thought WC#1 and WC#2 played a 1 game playoff and winner played the #1 ranked divisional winner......

WC#1 hosted the game....

at this point, the Jays are in a spot they might not even be WC#2......

Oh for crying out loud. Was hoping both these last two games would be early starts since they're on the weekend. Get the pain over with early so I can move on with my life, but nooooooo, has to be a late start again today.

I guess the dread of my unavoidable crushing disappointment will have to linger with me all day.

If thst happened, O's would pick Jays soley for travel issues. Detroit would have to go Seattle.

There may be 4 teams tied for WC1 and 2 in Jiggys scenario,so the need for a Tuesdsy tiebreaker to get to the WC game Wed.

Yeah just imagine a semifinal bracket to get to the finals (the finals being the wildcard game).

Something like,

Orioles vs Jays
Tigers vs Mariners
Winners playoff in the WC game.

You'd look at that number and normally think happy thoughts. hard to believe it's that high really. But, win 1 and you're still in good shape. Win 2 and you clinch at least a tie for the wildcard.

The odds adjusted since I checked last night, now at 54% which makes a lot more sense.

Looks to me like the stats of a guy who would have no problem 3 hitting the Jays through 6 or 7 shut out innings.

its hard to give a specific scenario because 4 teams are involved

if they win out, they are guaranteed at least a tie for 2nd in the wild card, and a tiebreaker game

I don't like that Detroit make up game at all. How hard is Cleveland going to try when they need to get ready for the playoffs a couple of days later?
