For me the bounty hunter was really tough to be all dark side, He just becomes a killer at that point.
the story is one of the stronger ones in the game, and one of the rare ones where you get true choices at the end.
Leveled my Inquisitor Assasin to level 52 on the weekend, I was done with Voss and could head to Corellia to finish off his story line, but decided to do the three sets of dailies on Belsavis. I'd never done Section X before, its a complete blast.
Remember that the commendations have changed, the individual planetary commendations have become global planetary commendations which is a good move.
There are also classic commendations and daily commendations.
Have you completed Makeb yet? The dailies there are awesome and super fast/easy, you don't even really have to fight anything if you don't want to (just use stealth) The Weekly 2 staged chain on Makeb (3 missions in each) give 12 ultimate (+20 basic and a purp reputation item) comms after completion. Once you get lvl 61/63 gear, you should be able to run Sec X in 30 minutes or so.
I spent 64 planetary comms on 2 of the lvl 53 loot boxes and got the crappy legacy gear lol
If you have the patience to finish the macrobinocular chain and seeker droid chains, they give up some fast and easy dailies as well. The Heroic 4's at the end of the chains are fairly challenging as well.

I haven't jumped to Mackeb yet, I really want to finish my assasin story line first. Believe it or not I've never done Section X dailies with any of my other toons because I thought it was all group, heoic. I was surprised at how much single player content there was there.
Makeb from the sounds of it sounds a lot different from go to dungeon, smash mobs kill elite. It sounds like there are some good puzzles in the Hutt Cartel story line.
Once I finish my Inquisitor I'll probably run my toons through there, and then finish the Smuggler Story line. That would leave me with the Jedi Knight Story Line, Counciller Story line and Imperial Agent story line. So I still have a ton of content to get through.

If you're not into "raiding" for gear, I'm pretty sure the lvl 66 mods/armor inserts are on the GTN for cheaper than lvl 61/63 stuff although once you really get into doing dailies, basic comms come pretty quick, my main toon is in almost full 66 gear(Basic) and it's only been 2 weeks.
There are a ton of daily opportunities right now, Corellia Black hole, Belsavus, Section X,Illum, Makeb.
It shouldn't take long to get the gear I want.
If only the new armor wasn't so damn ugly.
Fully agree with you there, Tionese is the absolute worst, glad they got rid of it all together, they always seem to have to add something pointy or sharp to the shoulders/boots. Bounty Hunter Tioenese was hilarious with the 4 pointy cylinders coming out the back. Don't know if you played the Mass Effect series at all, but the new highest gear helms look like the Collectors, very "insecty" overall look.

Yeah, I don't like the armor much. When I got the Tionese bonus with my trooper I was hoping more of a clone war commando look.
Instead my trooper looked like a green pencil eraser.
The Jugg armor was pretty cool. for PVP recruit
But I intentionally wanted the hooded simple look ala Palpatine for my Assasin
I laughed at the Sorc look its just so ridiculous.
When I do my smuggler I'm hoping to find an outfit like Mals from Firefly with a hat.
Just find the armor in reds or purples that you like and sit on it.

Well I hit 20 on my Inquisitor Sorc last night. So far i've exhausted the quests on Korriban and Dromund Kaas and done some Instances and Warzones. I think i'm the happiest with the leveling speed. Without any rest XP due to being a non-subscriber i'm not outleveling worlds as I did on my Trooper at launch.

And any functionality that you might want you can buy with the Cartel Coins.
One thing that I did with my Sith Inquisitor was really explore as much as I could on every planet. The designers did a great job of World design, even a sand ball like Tatooine has very cool areas.
I had never looked up in the game, and I actually went holy crap a few times at the amazing statues, and the Sith Battleships crossing the sky.
I finished off the Section X daily last night, and it was very fun and fairly tough at times, there were a lot of roving elites.
There were also strong Jedi Elites with multiple high speed healing buffs that were very tough to beat in mobs.

My guy is almost 27 now. I've done most of Belsavis (except for the Bonus series, which is green now so not sure I'll go back for that) and most of Nar Shaddaa. I see what you mean Cap about the BH just being a killer if you go full dark side. I've started letting some people live. Am I turning into a softie?

Not really,
I learned that lesson with my Sith Warrior.
I was on Nar Shadda and came across some republic troops and absolutely wrecked them. I then had the light side choice of mercy or the dark side choice of kill em all. I thought that there was no good reason to kill them and spared them.
Later on I cam across a rival Sith Lord elite, and he had a couple of Strong soldiers with him one of whom was a medic. That's a pretty tough task in Solo, but I'm a Sith damnit. When I clicked on him to attack him, those same ignorant stupid Republic Soldiers that I spared jumped into the fight and evened the odds.
Plus showing mercy as a bounty hunter with your female healing companion has its bonuses cause she's all into bunnies and stuff.
So the one weird change is the same sex companionship stuff.
There's my completely evil Dark Lord of the Sith, storming onto the bridge after a day of complete killing and mayham, and my bad a$$ kill everything pirate walks up to him and asks him if he wants a massage.
I was like what?

Yeah I've definitely noticed that. I lose 28 points with Mako every time I kill someone. She's a damn fine healer though. I suppose I'll probably be running into my second companion soon. Tattooine is the next planet if I remember correctly.

I thought it was Korriban, Drummond Kaas, Balmorra, Nar Shadda, Alderaan and then Tatooine.
Could be wrong though.
Tatooine has the most annoying Datacrons in the game to get to as well.

I finished the main Sith Inquisitor story line tonight, and I'm probably going to miss it more then the other stories that I've played (Warrior, Bounty Hunter, Trooper) Those stories might have been a bit stronger, but this was the only story that justified taking a fully Dark Side Approach.
Spoiler!
Starting life as a slave, and being mistreated at the Academy created the craving for not only power, but the ability to forever break the chains that held him back.
The story really does in a lot of ways focus on the gather of power. First of all getting out from under the boots of ruthless Sith teachers, then a treacherous Master who decides that your not worth anything but your body is. Then going around the galaxy acquiring power both by subverting a Cult, then by gathering dead Sith Lords to capture their power. Yes the whole ghost busters thing wasn't great execution, I would rather that he was chasing Sith Holocrons that maybe taught him long forgotten powers, but I didn't write the thing. Along the way a member of the Dark Council decided that your heritage made you unworthy of power. As a Sith Inquisitor already uncertain of my place in the Empire that sharpened the hunger towards gaining power.
The third chapter at the start is about the perils of the path to power, you grow ill and start losing your mind due to the ghosts that you enslaved, so you frantically try to find a cure which takes you as far as Voss, in the meantime you start gathering allies for your fight against your tormentor.
Again its easy to make the darkside choices. Too many times when I was playing I would have beaten people begging me for mercy and compassion for themselves or others, and I went back to Darth Bane when he snorted "Those who ask for mercy do not deserve it" before crushing an opponents skull beneath his boot. I mean nobody showed my Sith any mercy or compassion.
Finally you become so powerful and noticeable that Darth Thanaton challenges you to a world wide contest on Corellia. But he keeps fleeing in the face of the Sith's power and powerbase. You slowly destroy his allies and his assets and confront him, but he flees to Korriban to beg for help from the Dark Council in destroying you.
In a final confrontation in front of the Dark Council in one of the more bruising final fights in the stories that I've played so far I destroy Thanaton, take my Darth Nox title (Would have rather had the light side Imperious name) went back and demanded loyalty from my crew and then decided to in a delicious twist enslave my ghosts to me for all time instead of letting them go.
I did really enjoy the story, mainly because its the one story where you felt that you were growing in power and becoming one of the most powerful Sith Lords in history, and that eventually in a future Story line could challenge for the leadership of the empire itself.
The Sith Assassin was fun to play as well. Probably most of us have at one time yelled "Power Unlimited Power" as we hammer a poor Jedi with lightning . Being Stealthy was a nice twist as well as he's the first character that I played with stealth capabilities. It certainly allowed you do sneak up on people and put a blade in their back, or sneak out of tight spots.
I will admit that it just felt like some powers were missing, Force Choke or a force throw would have been nice to have as well.
Overall I enjoyed it, I haven't decided whether to take him, my warrior or my Bounty hunter on the dark side track to Makeb, we will have to see.
When I roll a new character it will have to be on the republic side, so whether I finish my Smuggler or roll a Jedi Knight or Councillor I'll have to think about it.
BTW, the Inquisitor just plain kicks butt in PVP with all of the interrupts and ranged powers.

I'd like to read that summary as it looks like you put a lot of time into it but I'm still planning on playing an Inquisitor at some point.
My Bounty Hunter is up to level 36 now and I just finished Alderaan. Having a ton of fun so far. I've done every FP at least once, including the Foundry last night. I didn't remember that HK fight being so difficult, but it may of just been a bad healer.
Is it me, or do the Republicans seem to do way better in PvP? I think I've played around 10 matches so far and only won 2 of them.

Yeah, there is a bit of a wacky favoritism in the game in terms of the Republic.
I will state that the Inquisitor is one of the better PVP characters you have 4 good interrupts and at minimum one really good pushback.
Plus there's lots of mobile powers that you can fire off on the run.
You just have to keep your distance because your inclose stuff isn't strong.
I could never play the role of a healer.
The Bounty Hunter story is a lot of fun though. It goes back to the Jango Fett line "I'm just a man trying to make his way in galaxy"
Its funny in the game but on the Empire side there is one incredibly tough quest boss on Voss that is so unbalanced that its insane.
