I know I have both an extra stick and chest protector (though the chest protector may be tiny).

Alright. Unfortunately I already promised chalms04 and his friend's spots to TangerZ's group, so one team will have an extra sub unless somebody else cancels.

That means players on that team will spend more time waiting to play than actually playing, but so be it. 23 is the absolute maximum we can handle though.

How do you guys feel about having 3 teams? winner goes on? I think it would give us more time to create chemistry between the players on our teams. Last week was kind of tough because you never really got to play with the same players. So probably 3 teams with one or two subs each.
Just a thought.

I see the benefits... but then teams could be stuck waiting for 30-45 minutes for a winner.

On Monday we played 4 games in about 3 hours, meaning each game last 45 minutes on average.

With 5 subs, you're stuck waiting to play for 10 minutes maximum I bet when you're the last in line to sub on.

We could run it by everybody, but personally, I think it's just better to have 2 large teams.

I like what your pitching but I doubt your going to have 6-7 players wanting to sit around for 20-40 min for a game to play...plus a time out....would be different if we had to rinks and could maybe break it into 4-4 with a sub and have four teams.

I think if it keeps growing we add another night or stick to sign up and cutting it off once full

The way I've played with 3 teams is we would have a game go up to two, and usually games would last 10 minutes maximum.

Not that big of a deal either way.

Yeah I think the only way 3 teams could work would be cutting the "first to ___ goals" down. But sometimes teams jump out to 2-0 or 3-0 leads within a few minutes before the play tightens up.

I'd hate to have a game end within a few minutes because of some quick goals, and then have the next game take 20 minutes leaving the loser of game one without a chance of playing at all really.

If we played in an arena like canyon meadows with a few rinks ...maybe...I like the idea and the format...just not great for odd number of teams...if you had a longer time period/lots of players this could work great.

Right now games are being called at 9 when the sun goes down...so we already have lost 45 mins from earlier in the summer. I don't wanna wait too long

We were playing in moonlight on Monday

I think guys just need to shift off a bit quicker, I know I'm guilty of just hanging around when I'm tired if there's less people there.

I'd like to schedule Thursday games a bit earlier, but if most people are coming from work it may not be feasible.

I work until 5 this Saturday and next Saturday, but after that I can start scheduling games slightly earlier (3-4ish).

Could either goalie make it out a little bit earlier tomorrow? If so, we can maybe get started earlier this time, as we usually take 30 minutes before we get going.
