But yeah, Texeira has looked ridiculous. *knock on wood*

I'm less worried about Lind because the Jays are paying him about 1/7 what the Yanks are paying Tex to strikeout 5 times a game.

I'm hoping the Morrow of last start shows up this afternoon.

Encouraging to see a couple of young starters like Cecil and Romero do as well against that Yankee lineup as they did. Seems like in years past unless it was Halladay or AJ Burnett going against the Yankees the starter was 30-70 in getting past the 4th inning. We saw it earlier in the year when Morrow and Eveland got rocked pretty good by the Red Sox. But hopefully this last series with Tampa combined with these first couple starts against the Yankees is a sign that the starters are getting the confidence that they can go against any team in the bigs.

Todays start for Morrow should shed some light as he'll be trying for his second consecutive strong start against a good team. Really it would be his third as the one against Anaheim should have only yielded 1 earned run as Encarnacion should have been dinged for an error on what was an easy double play ball.

When you look back at Vazquez careers, his best years were as an Expo. Guy was a stud back then and I loved watching him pitch. He's had a very solid career but watching him as a Spo I thought he'd be among the best in the majors for a long time. He really does seem better suited for the National League.

Morrow does lose control sometimes and give up that odd double/home run but man is his stuff NASTY! 96mph and sinking!

Vazquez looks to have his good stuff today as the Jays aren't doing anything thru 3 innings. Good job by Morrow to get Jeter with a guy on 3rd and less than two down and not give up a run.

Brilliant play by ARod in the second on the botched infield hit. Run half way to right field, stop, than try for 2nd and give up when you realize you're out by 15 feet. Lucky for him he had 100 million dollar talent to compliment his 5 cent head and he'll likely still end up a hall of fame player.

It's been said a billion times, but if Morrow can keep his focus like this, his stuff is so filthy, he'll be an all star for years and years.

Man, that A-Rod play was fantastic. Laugh-out-loud worthy. Couldn't happen to a better guy.

Love the ribbing that ball boy is taking ... hopefully he's taking it well too.

I swear you watch the Jays bats in certain segments of the season, and there's no way you'd think that this team is leading the league in home runs and batting in so many runs.

Well what do you know....one hit and it yields two runs on the home run by Vernon Wells. That is the Jays....hit .230 as a team, but slug .920!

A clutch 2 out hit from Vernon Wells. What a difference a year makes. Time for Morrow to shut them down

Man alive, Wells destroyed that ball. Morrow has the Yanks looking completely confused too.

Buck keeps harping on how Morrow hasn't walked a batter and he promptly walks someone.

Haha.

Did that even hit the guy? The sound was ball on bat.

Strike zone sure has been wide today. Morrow did do a hell of a job again. The Jays 1-4 in the rotation could be the best in baseball if they keep this up.

Jeter comes through in the clutch. Putting on two of the Yankees worst hitters like that could really cost the Jays
