Well, I don't know if I'd say a 6-2 game was a good challenge... considering your two goals were pretty flukey

You definitely need to work on puck control. The forwards were turning the puck over way too often and the TOA was pretty one sided in our favour. StMerc had the right idea with dumping the puck. The high dump behind the net works best though as it bounces around and gives the forwards the best chance of retrieval. We use this a lot against trapping teams and it is very effective. Also, for the defensemen, try shooting the puck to your forwards (wrist shot or dump). You would have noticed me doing this a lot as it allows for faster breakouts. There are my tips for the day.

That was pretty bad ass when you flip dumped it from behind your net and sprung a forward to split our D for a breakaway goal. Why didn't you do that when you played with us.

Let me answer your question with a question. How many forwards on CP can dangle around d-men and actually score on a breakaway?

Seriously though, most of my team mates are better than me, so I've learned a lot over the past few weeks. That move was just one of the new plays we run.

Ya it was kinda hard when I dumped it in but there was no RW to get it. Also, I know chuck is a threat but we didn't need two people covering him on the point leaving the LD open.

I'll go RW next time we play together again if that suits you better.

Totally agree with what chuckie said about shooting it out to the forwards.

As a Dman, I love to wrist it off the glass/boards and out passed the red line to my streaking wingers instead of trying to pass it to them. It gets broken up far less, and they are usually able to skate onto the puck rather than waiting to receive it. It can really catch the opposition D flat footed.

I also love the flip play. Just like Don Cherry taught me.

In Logan's defence, I don't think he took any roughing penalties in yesterday's game. I could be mistaken though....
