I wonder if Feaster is still waiting for Lecavalier to become the Michael Jordan of hockey?

He didn’t say that the Tampa owner did.

Monahan added it was the first game he has played in four years without pain in his hips.

That makes me so happy to hear! I’m rooting for Mony this year and hope he bounces back!

Would be great to see him have a comeback season that he could parlay into another term contract.

He has been on the same line as Josh Anderson and Jonathon Drouin.

Really out of that whole core that has seemingly moved on Mony was the most unsung guy of them all. The dude is a warrior and his grit I think has been underrated and under appreciated for years, and that’s a league wide thing IMO. There was a time where Mony was out pacing Mackinnon on the career score sheet and that was well past their respective D + 123 seasons too, until the injuries started to pile up for Sean. I think he could return to a 25/25 guy especially with his upgraded role back into a top 6 albeit with a lesser team and he will personally be one of my fav story lines to follow along this year! Maybe even a sniper waiver pickup later on in my pool!!

I hope he does well and can stay healthy and have a great season - still wish we didn't have to move on from him but couldn't risk him not being healthy.
Montreal has a pretty deep forward group - even if they lack the high top end guys.

Same. I hope he gets a loud standing O when he comes back in December. Nothing but respect for Monahan as a person and player.

Hopefully Monahan turns things around. But it was time for a change for both sides in my opinion.

I wish him all the best despite never being a fan of his. He was a good player for 4-5 seasons here, but he didn't exactly contribute to taking the team on a deep run, or win hardware or inspire fans with his leave it all on the ice style.
Being a classy player for the franchise is one thing that maybe deserves a round of applause at some point, but a standing O is usually reserved for franchise type players or extremely influential figures. Let's not get carried away.

I think you are misremembering because prior to the Colorado series Monahan was easily the Flames best playoff performer, played his ass off in every post-season game, and was productive.

I thought he had 4 goals in the 4 games in that Colorado series?
