Umps really knowing when to pick their spots. Another absolutely horrific strike call. Strike outs are boring. No one came to see the umps.
Great effort to make a game of it!

Just went from a fastball count to allowing the pitcher to throw junk and Vladdy needing to expand his zone.

Yeah. And didn't we also get jobbed on a number of strike calls in this same ballpark during the 2015 ALCS?

Yes. Wade Davis got some very questionable strike calls at probably the worst time imaginable in that series.

I am so tired of watching major league umpires botch balls and strikes. It makes it even worse knowing the technology is out there to eliminate their ability to fumble#### a game up at a crucial moment.

So in the last five or six days the we've had:
 Chatwood
 Merryweather
 Romano
 Stripling
 Henandez

...go on the IL when we had Pearson, Hatch, Yates and Springer already there.

Plus Phelps took a 100+ mph comebacker of his back, Biggio came out of the game yesterday and didn't something happen to Borucki at one point too? COVID protocol maybe?

Two weeks into the season and the Jays have already used 8 different starting pitchers, which doesn't include Pearson or Hatch, and something like 14 different relievers.

Oh, and they still haven't put their biggest off season acquisition into a game yet.

 Yaaaaay?

When you list it out like that it’s pretty shocking that we’re a .500 team. Could be much worse.

Injury bug is bad for sure. If they can tread water for a couple weeks though they should be OK.
Just cant give up 7 runs in a game and expect to win to many though. Can we just clone Ryu and have 5 of him? Is that allowed yet?

He had side effects to the vaccine. I think he's back now though.

Think they'll keep the 7 inning doubleheaders going forward to next season? I feel like it's a bit unfair because it puts more emphasis on your starting pitcher (when there already is a lot on them anyway), but makes sense from a scheduling and injury standpoint.
I wonder if fans would feel ripped off if they only got a 7 inning game?

But they get 14 innings for the price of 9.

Good timing for a couple of 7 inning games IMO.
If Matz and Ray both pitch well, say 6 innings each, they will only need to use the bullpen for 2 innings total.

Roof-Daddy Shi Davidi posted on Twitter that it's going to be Matz in the morning and Milone in the afternoon and Robbie Ray on Sunday. Likely to keep normal starter day off schedules.
