He's a young kid from Spain who is a fine player. Felix will have his hands full.

Apparently he got the jersey as a gift from his hitting partner.

Keep an eye on this young French kid Ugo Humbert, he just sent Coric packing 6-3 6-3 at the Open 13 Provence tourney in Marseille. He's a tall lefty with solid ground strokes and a nice serve.

Looks like Felix has an off day today which should do him wonders heading into the QFs and beyond in Rio.

These two have played twice before with Munar winning both times at lower levels. Now up to #89 in the world, another win would place him firmly inside the top 75!

more importantly i think this solidifies a spot for him in the main draw at Roland Garros.

He has almost no points to defend until mid-June. He will play in Sao Paulo next week and then Indian Well Qualies.

Meanwhile, Brayden Schnur has pulled out of Yokohama to give himself almost a full two weeks rest. He still plans to do the Chinese swing of Zhuhai, Shenzhen and … Zhangjiagang!

He wasn't going to get into Indian Wells qualies and maybe could get into Miami? but i think he wants to get some points in China and get into the top 100. Remember, top 104 directly qualify for grand slams.

I have a theory, I don't know if you guys agree.

Krygios isn't that good and I think he dogs it on purpose so that the media always writes that, 'he would be so good if only he tried'. That becomes the main narrative, "ooooh Krygios is in the draw, he could be a dangerous sleeper if he put his mind to it". I've heard this narrative for at least 5 years.

But in reality if he really did try, he would be exposed for not being good at all.
That's what he's scared of. Becoming irrelevant. He is why it bothers him when fans go at him.

Monfils on the other hand, he doesn't care. And doesn't care that you know that he doesn't care. He's never confronted a fan about it.

I think Nick is very talented, but he just doesn't give a crap. He's the Alexei Kovalev of the ATP tour. As long as he's hitting aces or tweeners when it's not necessary, commentators will continue to gush about his talent, but it's pretty obvious there are other places he wants to be. It's his bad attitude that is stopping him from making inroads in tournaments, but as mentioned above, he really doesn't care.

Kovalev is a pretty good comparison.

He knows he can get by as a top 50, 40 even 30 player for the next 5-6 years by only engaging himself in a few big events. it's a sad reality for a player that really should be a big time threat each and every week.
