Little Finger may have been the one that sent the letter to John pretending to be Ramsey and taunting him in rescuing Rickon and taking back Winterfell.
The line "come and see" repeated throughout the letter, was first said by Little Finger in the episode when he beckoned Robin to "come and see" the falcon he was giving him.
Cersei promised Little Finger he would be named Warden of the North if he removed the Boltons from Winterfell.
For me Jon's death and rebirth was very predicable. You could see it coming a season out so that one didn't get me. And with no one respecting spoilers anymore you new that he had a role in this season so that confirmed he was coming back. Along with the story about how the show runners got the job by explaining what should happen with Jon.
To me the resolution of this show has been obvious for a while now. Its pure theory with no book knowledge below but just in case no one wants to see it.
Spoiler!
But I think you see the dragons will be killing the whitewalkers with Denarys and Jon each riding one and Bran Worging the other.
I think Arya is really the only real plot line that doesn't have a clear answer to where it is headed.
Quick clarification but the creators of the tv show got the job by impressing Martin by guessing who Jon's mother is. Not that he died and gets resurrected.
I also don't think many, book reader or not, knew in advance that Jon would get killed and resurrected.

I disagree based on this old teaser from March.

Man, I don't know if its the fact that I dont like the character or something else, but i just cannot imagine the Game of Thrones ending well for Dany.
I assume they all die in the war and somehow someone we hate ascends the iron throne at the end.

to rephrase it was obvious last season that Jon was getting betrayed not necessarily killed. It was also obvious that Jon was too important to the show to die based on the story above. Therefore Once Jon was killed it was obvious he would be brought back.

The writers confirmed that the letter came from Ramsey.
Martin has been known to frequent that forum. It's probably more likely that Martin borrowed the idea from a theory rather than it being a plan for the last 20 years.
You just know Littlefinger is going to find a way to make himself/the vale a necessary commodity in the war for the north.
I actually believe he didn't know fully about Ramsay but he's two or three steps ahead of where Sansa is at. She underestimates him and his cunning tactics. Brienne advising her won't make it very easy for him, though.
I'm guessing she seeks his help when things get desperate at some point.
Jon being killed and the Red Wedding are up there as well. But yeah, great scene.
My favorite scene other than Hodor was Tyrion's speech at his trial. But I never felt strongly about Robb or Jon and I didn't like Catlyn at all. Plus neither of those scenes were surprising to me.

My guess is that he has some kind of allegiance/angle with Blackfish in the Riverrun. Littlefinger was way too smug during that whole scene, where he was essentially being banished.

Now would be a good time for Benjen Stark to make his presence known north of the wall, Bran is going to need some help with Summer and Hodor gone.
The idea that the iron islanders have trees to build ships is cute. We basically see no trees in the whole of westeros and I don't remember seeing a single tree so far in the shtos of Pyke.
Where the hell are they going to get the wood to build 1000 ships and how is that loose rabble of underfed sea cucumbers going to do it in less than 50 years?
So far the Iron Islands are just the worst.

Maybe that is how they've always been, thus them always seeming to get owned by the mainland.
I guess. I always assumed they were honorable warrior types, hence their ability to maintain sovereignty until that last bending of the knee. Instead we get a bunch of frat boys who habitually stab each other in the back......their leaders great plan is to build a bunch ships in a week and then sail to Dany and date rape her.

Not only that, but they never show more than 20-30 people. Far as I'm concerned they have the smallest army ever. Hell, they have one castle. Just bizarre how many details they miss or don't give to help explain and develop backstories better.

There has been one tree in Westeros, and Rob Stark tried to chop it down with his sword.

Because it's still a TV show with a budget.
I did chuckle at the chopping down the trees thing though, it looks like all rocky cliffs but maybe they'll just sail ashore and spend sometime on the mainland as lumberjacks.

I certainly understand that but it took one scene and one mention of 100,000 riders to help viewers understand how big the dothraki are. Because I certainly didn't know they had those kinds of numbers till it was mentioned.
