@ CC. It is possible. But I would imagine that the name similarity was in honor of sort of deal. But I could be wrong. I enjoyed the the 'movie' a lot more than I thought I would. One of my favorite things in BSG was the polytheism versus monotheism debate and it looks like we're in for more of it. I think the show has potential, but we'll see. But it isn't Battlestar that's for sure. I saw the post Pyramid clip on youtube earlier, and I now hate the Caprica City Buccaneers.

Sidebar, but if you were watching "30 Rock" last night, you would have seen Salma Hayek in a funny scene wearing a nicely tight "What The Frak?" T-shirt.

Sidebar: The Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo is this weekend at the Roundup Centre, and guess who they have coming...Edward James Olmos, Tahmoh Penikett (Helo), and Kandyse McClure (Dualla).

I guess my sister has already got her ticket to have her picture taken with Helo & Dualla. I'm thinking I'll go along to check it out, they are doing a BSG panel at 1pm tomorrow.

And we thought we were done with adding more guests! Well...guess what? We've got one more! We have a very special appearance from Emmy Award winning & Academy Nominated actor Edward James Olmos!! We can't believe it either! Edward's best known as Admiral William Adama from the popular Battlestar Galactica series. He's also had memorable roles as Gaff in Blade Runner, Lt. Martin Castillo in Miami Vice, Jaime Escalante in Stand & Deliver, and the head of the Quintanilla family in the film Selena. Edward will also be participating in the BSG panel, and photo ops ($50)
and I officially wish I was coming now.

Caprica was strange, and it makes the creation of the cylons even more baffling. I mean, unless Graystone is the other Daniel, how does he just know to call them Cylons when the final five call themselves cylons as well. I mean, they called themselves cylons for the last 1000 years or whatever. Daniel just happens to name them the same thing?
This pilot just created more confusion for me...

All this has happened before, and it will happen again.

Battlestar "The Plan" will be coming up this summer I believe, so this thread still lives . . . . .

In the LA Times today some video of a conference with Ronald Moore, David Eick, Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell that happened on June 4 . . . . . . Olmos talks about "The Plan" in one piece.

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/hero...nel-in-la.html

Also, some behind the scenes photos from the shooting of season 4.

And some propoganda posters:

Last night my girlfriend and I just finished watching the series finale of BSG. We had the last season PVR’d and we’ve been limiting ourselves to no more than one episode per week in order to make it last as long as possible. I now realize why.

I am writing to CP because I almost feel like I’ve lost a loved one. I'm in some sort of withdrawal today. I have a bit of an empty feeling. I don't really know how to explain how I feel because on one hand, it’s just the end of a TV show but on the other hand it was the best damn TV show I've ever seen. I was anxiously awaiting the day I could finish reading this thread but now that I have, it’s not enough. I just want to go back and watch the whole thing over again.

Anyway, sorry for bringing back an old thread but I’m just having trouble accepting it’s over and I didn’t know where else to turn.

“What do you hear Starbuck?"

"Nothing but the rain Sir"

"Then get your gun and bring the cat in"

Just when I thought the pain went away, you reminded me of my lost love.

If you have not already, check out the Caprica pilot. That will be an incredible show as well. I am not sure if it is still scheduled to air in the fall..

Thanks Starseed. I'm glad I'm not alone in my pain. I have the Caprica pilot at home on DVD but I think it will be awhile before I get up to watching it.

I think it will be like getting a new puppy after your old dog has passed. It will create many new and happy memories but it can never completely fill the hole left from losing your old faithful companion.

Oh man RubberDuck why did you have to post that?

I think the entire series is out on Blue-ray on July 28th. I should check for confirmation of that.

Oh yeah: http://www.amazon.com/Battlestar-Gal...7610152&sr=1-2

Sorry Bigtime. I just can't believe that I have been so down all day because of a TV show. Apparently I'm not the only one.

For those of you that want to own a little piece of television history:

I think my gal might look good in one of Six's outfits.

I bought the mini-series a while back. Thought it was great and liked the premise. I've wanted to pick up the series and watch it, but I am HD snob, so I've been waiting for today to come so I can pick up the complete series on Blu-ray.

Futureshop seems to have the lowest price at $249.99.
