I don't know of Daniel Levy will think it looks good for a manager to be choosing lineups/tactics from a cell either
and unless the prosecution is lying this looks like a pretty open and shut case

I'm not familiar with the specifics of the case, but I didnt think he dodged enough taxes to be incarcerated.

1536 TAX EVASION TRIAL: BBC sports news correspondent James Pearce on the Redknapp and Mandaric trial on Twitter: "Monaco account not in Redknapp's name. Was called "Rosie 47". Prosecution say this was combination of his dog's name and his year of birth"

Why didn't he call it "Definitely Not Harry Redknapp's Secret Bank Account"?

Jamie Redknapp was in the audience and was heard saying after that he thinks it's "literally a witch hunt"

I think it's the wrong fight, he's right that they coddle Rooney and always have
but to defend Balotelli here makes his argument weak

Hes right that they're wildly inconsistent, but I agree, he shouldnt be defending Balotelli. The dude stomped on a guy's head for just his most recent transgression.

'Arry's getting a little frustrated....
Quote:
When Beasley described how Mandaric said the money sent to Redknapp's offshore accounts were investments outside football, the Tottenham manager replied: ''He don't know what he is f****** talking about. What is he talking about? It is a bonus.''
When asked if it was a 'bung', Redknapp replied: ''Don't say bung. It's nothing to do with a bung. It's paid by the chairman. How can it be a bung when the chairman of the football club paid me? What's a bung? It's a f****** sick word.''
When asked about the bonus clause in his contract, Redknapp said: ''My accountant has got my contract ... I'm not going to f****** show you.''

this recording between Harry and a NOTW journo, and Mandaric and a NOTW journo sounds legendary
I want to hear it in full
Quote:
Beasley "I wish I could leave a hundred grand lying around". Redknapp "Well I can Rob"
|
Quote:
Redknapp "Do I need 30 f***ing grand avoid 30 grand income tax? Do I need that Rob? I mean 30 f***ing grand! I'll f***ing give you 30 grand"
|
Quote:
Redknapp "Do me a favour. I tried to nick thirty grand to save on income tax by having the money paid offshore. What a load of bollocks"
|
From the Mandaric one
Quote:
Mandaric to reporter: "Why would I give Harry a hundred thousand pounds when he got a million pounds for being promoted?"
|
Quote:
During taped conversation reporter told Mandaric that he'd acted honourably. At that stage in dock Redknapp nudged Mandaric and smiled

Oh 'Arry.... ....you're not a wizard son....
Quote:
In tape recordings played at Southwark Crown Court, Redknapp said: ''I can't work a computer, I don't know what an email is, I can't, I have never sent a fax and I've never even sent a text message. I have a big problem, I can't write so I don't keep anything. I am the most disorganised person, I am ashamed to say, in the world.''
Redknapp told officers in June 2009 that the Sun, who he writes regular columns for, ''hadn't paid me for 18 months''.
He said: ''I've never wrote a letter in my life. I couldn't write a letter. I write like a two-year-old and I can't spell.

I dont know if this is a reasonable defense, but maybe we should be wondering who does all the wheeling and dealing for Spurs if he cant write.

Wenger Confirms Wilshere Setback
27 January 2012
Arseblog News
Arsenal have been rocked by the news that Jack Wilshere has suffered a fresh injury setback.
The England midfielder hasn’t played this season after limping off just a few minutes into the Emirates Cup in late July. Despite the club seeing if rest and physio would fix the problem, surgery was required.
Until this week Jack was on schedule to make a February comeback but reports suggest he has suffered a stress fracture of his heel, which could mean anything from 6-8 weeks out or pretty much end his season.
At his press conference, Arsene Wenger was cagey, but said, “Wilshere had a little setback. We don’t know how bad it is. I can’t give you any definite news on Jack because I could be wrong.

need him, Parker, and Cleverly to all be fit or we may be subjected to Gareth Barry getting blown by Mesut Ozil all over again

Arsenal must look at buying a CM now or run the risk at running Arteta, Ramsey and Song pretty thin.
