I was thinking of getting a BotW Zelda amiibo, then I remembered oh right Nintendo.
A nice PVC statue would be nice, similar to this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/first-4-...?skuId=5731031

A few negatives for the game.
While I like the music, it's not as good as some others. The actual music itself is fine I think, but the nature of the gameplay puts less emphasis on set pieces and themes since almost anything can happen in any order at any time. I don't seem to enjoy the sound track as much as a result.
Which is also a pet peeve, the collectors edition doesn't come with the whole soundtrack, just "selections". LAME!
But mostly I wish there was more variety in the world, like more mobs, more interesting places, more NPCs, more quests, etc. I haven't played a ton of Dark Souls games but maybe like how there's a ton of variety in places, level design I guess.
I don't like how so much of the armor cover's his face, but that's minor.
Also minor UI stuff... better cooking interface (i.e. when you learn recipes you can just select them and it'll either make it or show you what you need if you've run out). I was going to say an easier way to change sets of armor, but that seems kind of dumb when really some of the armor benefits should maybe be like the tablet, enhancements that just get applied no matter what you're wearing. I mean when I can easily switch armor every time I'm climbing with no downside, what's the point of having a choice in the first place?? Just make the climbing perks be benefits you unlock. Others make a bit more sense, I can wear stealth armor to trade defense for sneaking, but if I can switch to my guardian armor in the middle of battle again is it really worth making it a choice? I can even switch between my attack and defense armour multiple times in mid battle...
Also finding item degradation a bit annoying for the first time.. while playing I didn't have a problem with it, but now I'm spending more time exploring or grinding to upgrade my armor or kill bosses for medals, I find I go through my weapons faster than I get them.
Really wonder what they've got in store for the DLC

My impressions of BoTW were quite different by the time I had finished the game. I enjoyed it well enough but it felt like there was something missing. The side quests are, for the most part, flat out garbage. I know that I left some unfinished because I didn't feel compelled to do them. There isn't any sort of narrative benefit and getting a couple rupees or a piece of food isn't enough incentive.

I also really missed 'themed' dungeons. You know, the big sprawling monstrosities you would spend an entire afternoon solving puzzles and fighting through with a really cool/creative boss at the end.
I feel like, while it's excellent, BotW has provided a solid foundation for Nintendo to craft something really incredible.

Puyo Puyo Tetris is out today for Switch. Sega has treated the Tetris license well, so please support the game!

Man it's so good.
Beating someone online in Tetris is oddly exhilarating. I've never played Puyo before though and I'm terrible at it.

I wonder if the Zelda engine could be used for a Metroid game, but instead of a lot of above ground stuff, it could be subterranean.

Honestly, I've long hated those three-hour dungeons, so how BOTW did it was perfect in my view.
Really enjoying Puyo Puyo Tetris, though porn movies have better plot than the adventure mode storyline.

I felt the same way as you did at about the ten hour mark. I dunno though, eventually something just clicked and I ended up really loving it by the time I was finished.

I think we remember the dungeons in Ocarina of Time ect as being more difficult because we were young and kinda dumb, at least that was the case for me.

I can get how some people dislike the setup of Breath of the Wild, but Skyward Sword was emblematic of the mire the 3D Zelda template was stuck in before this game. You want spawling multi-hour dungeons? There's plenty in Skyward Sword! Don't forget that they're all fairly cookie cutter though: Initial crawl to dungeon map and compass, find special item that you might not really need the rest of the game, solve some puzzles with said item, find the boss key, backtrack to boss door and beat boss that will need said special item to be defeated.
It wasn't just the painful intro sequence that sunk Skyward Sword, but the inevitability of the design of the game. There were no surprises, no iterations on the design of a 3D Zelda game that made you go "whoa". (I mean, unless you like motion control puzzles???)
BotW gives you all your items at the start, then gives you a hundred variations on the puzzle for the items not just in shrines, but in the open world. If you're not finding exploration interesting, it might be because you like to be driven by objectives, while much of the wonder of the world comes from finding things on your own. It's not for everyone, and I can totally get why they might pine for the 3D Zelda template of old. I found BotW to be the rejuvenation the series needed before it completely missed the tide of gaming today.
I loved Ocarina of Time, loved Majora's Mask, slogged through Wind Waker, barely finished Twilight Princess, and never got past the halfway mark of Skyward Sword. The fatigue on the template is real.

Nintendo's Q4 and FY2016 results will come in overnight tonight. We'll know how many Switches sold in March, and sales for Nintendo's first party titles. Really curious to see how 1-2 Switch did, honestly. 3DS sales and Pokemon Sun/Moon sales will be interesting too, given the latter caused widespread shortages of the former.
They also tend to make little announcements for big things at these, so hopefully we find out about something either unannounced at this point, or get some release dates, or even find out when something like the VC is going to launch.

Me too, coming off Horizon, the first 10 hours I felt the same way.
The game clicked for me pretty quick after that. Now it is top 3 zelda of all time.

2.74 million Switches sold between March 3 and March 31. 2.76 million Switch copies of BOTW sold. lol. Plus 1.08 million on Wii U. Almost 4 million in a month. 15.5 million copies of Pokemon, and somehow, 2 million of Mario Kart 7. Nintendo expects to ship 10 million Switches add 6 million 3DSs in FY2017. Which means by this time next year, they believe Switch will have outsold the WiiU's entire lifetime.

I could totally see that 20,000 extra being people who bought the Switch special edition since there was none for the Wii U. That, or there's 20,000 people who couldn't find a Switch but got a copy of the game anyway.
