Oh, it's way worse. The Jays have 14 baserunners and somehow only have 3 runs. They have zero problems getting guys on, but have no ability to drive anyone in. It's the most frustrating thing you can watch and it happens every freaking night.

I can't even watch this team. What the hell happened in just one month. They took stupid pills or something. Even if they make the playoffs I have no faith they'll win a wildcard game. So disappointing.

Yeah the offence has to have blame, but the Jays turned over their entire bullpen from last year and replaced it with a bunch of thrash and Drew Storen two years past his prime. The bullpen cost us about 15 games on the first two months and is killing this season again. You get what you pay for.
The Jays put a lot of money into offence because it's cheaper than putting
Money into pitching. We are now seeing what wins games when it counts .

They also didn't put a lot of money into their starters and they've been ridiculous down the stretch. Spending money doesn't guarantee results. The Jays could've resigned Lowe for a pretty penny and he's got the worst reliever ERA in baseball.

Never thought this team would be so close to the brink of now, well, you know.
And EVERY team who could possibly catch us has won or is winning.

They have no money in starters because of a rookie deals to Sanchez and Stroman. The Jays won that lottery. The offence is the big problem right now, but if the bullpen was adequately addressed in the offseason, we aren't even in this position.

It's more than that. Fundamentally this team is so poor. Bad baserunning, bad defense, big swings etc... it's like they don't have a manager. Gibbons should be fired Sunday night.

For the very first time, I am now legitimately worried about our chances to make the wildcard. It got real.
Should we all put $100 on the Sox tomorrow? That's gotta balance out the luck right?
This sucks.

I said that about Gibby a year ago. I like the guy on a personal level, but it's like giving the keys to a Ferrari to a McDonald's worker.

I miss the days when the Jays were out of it by August....I really shouldn't be feeling this low right now. I mean I know the Titans and Canucks suck so then missing the playoffs isn't a big deal. I have always been an optimistic person, but really having my doubts now.
