No doubt. Someone tell him that's not unusual. Hell, SJ is better than 1-10-1. The Flames are better than 4-7-1. Bruins are not as good as 10-1-1. Vancouver's not as good as 9-2-1. But there it is.

Nah, Draisaitl refuses to extend, Holland trades him for some draft picks and then uses the 8M in cap space to sign highly coveted Tyler Myers to fix the defence.

Edmonton guy on 960 earlier ahead of the StinkBowl: "Oilers have the best 1-3-1 in the league. Teams are juuust getting in those seam passes lately."
They have a really hard time identifying with present reality, don't they?
You wouldn't guess they were talking about one of the two worst teams duking it out. Newflash: you're don't have the best anything this year. That was a last year or two years ago flex. Oilers are garbage now. Pure, hot garbage.
The saddest part is I don't think they even get well compensated to fondle the Oilers' fun bits for a living.

Someone should tell them where on the ice the 3 are supposed to be. It’s not 1 behind the opponent net - 3 in the crease - 1 at top of circle.

You just know that if the Oilers win this game tonight (no doubt on the back of multiple McPPs), the no good media up in Dumpsterville and the SN/HNIC talking heads will immediately get back to fondling their nuts again as the unstoppable Cup favourites. They'll proclaim "the Oilers are back, baby! Plan the parade!"
It's gonna be vomit inducing.

Calm waters mean nothing when you’re built like a Titan submarine.

Calm the waters...
Does he imply that they're going to put the sharks to sleep with their lack of intensity/competitiveness?

Wasn't it on CP where there was a head-to-head bracketed poll/vote for candy where there was an eventual champion. That's how the eventual title should be chosen. Take the top 8 or 16 and they go head-to-head until champion is chosen.

Yep. 2 years ago they were out of the playoff picture halfway through the season, fired Tippett, got the new coach bump, and rode the PP on a little bit of a run. Last year they were out of the playoff picture halfway through the season. There was even a jersey toss. Then they had some pretty timely scheduling and a PP clipping at nearly 40%. They got in and had a bit of a run. Both playoff runs had precarious first round victories buoyed by, you guessed it, the PP. We all can see it. This is a very flawed team that relies on a lot of uncertainties to be successful. And when things don't go their way they struggle mightily.

He also pulled the “teams get psyched up to face McDavid and Draisaitl and bring their best so it’s always tougher for the oilers.”
