This 100%!! Too expensive to build the manufacturing facility then good luck staffing them
Ironically it would cost 30%+ more to build a manufacturing facility in the states than it did 2 days ago haha. Too bad there's no under the table labor left to take advantage of to lower construction costs.

After huge job cuts at Health and Human Services, Kennedy is saying this...
"was always the plan. Part of the DOGE, we talked about this from the beginning, is we're going to do 80% cuts, but 20% of those are going to have to be reinstated, because we'll make mistakes"
What a great plan, its not like those are actual people you have to be concerned about.

That's just a master class in efficiency. They will be teaching that in business schools for decades. Fire TOO many people then efficiently double up some work and re-hire those same people.
TO THE MANY INVESTORS COMING INTO THE UNITED STATES AND INVESTING MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF MONEY, MY POLICIES WILL NEVER CHANGE. THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO GET RICH, RICHER THAN EVER BEFORE!!!
Right, crashing oil prices are bad for Alberta, but they'll devastate the US oil patch if they stay low for awhile. Not that they need it with their economy imploding.
Ironically it will be the 50% on Vietnam that will really screw Trump, vast amounts of cheap clothes that the red states rely on, all the 3XXL t shirts and sweat pants in Costco are made in Vietnam, clothing in the trailer parks of Missouri are about to increase 50% overnight, that's stuff his voters buy every week unlike new cars, they will see that price go up next week by a huge amount
You vastly overestimate the impact. $10 sweats to $15 sweats. Simple, only buy a new pair in years that end in a zero instead of a zero and a 5. Done.

Thing is, I suspect his off the cuff 20% error rate is not only stupid, but reversed. I suspect that at least at 80% of the people being fired are actually necessary for their departments to function.

They (the GOP) don't want the government to function.
Dotard needs chaos flooding the pipe so that nobody can pay attention to the 2 "real" things going on.
1) He's a Russian agent. How much time was spent even in this thread commenting on the fact there were no tariffs for Russia.
2) He's an autocrat, and wants personal fidelity from the nation's richest, industry leaders, and foreign heads of state. Look no further than his endorsement of Crypto, and his "givith and taketh away" approach to tariffs.
The govt shutting down gives him lots of little problems to "solve" (that he created).

Is shale still a thing in the US? I thought they sucked it dry already.
