Also, I really dont like the whole putting your opponents blood in your mouth thing that happens in AEW.
Ill say that promotion is all gas no breaks.

With all of his injuries I think Bryan is going to have a really poor quality of life in the future.

Bryan leaving WWE was a mistake. He was allowed to wrestle again but was doing it in an environment that wanted to protect him. He went to AEW where they don't try to protect their wrestlers from doing stupid stuff at all.
I didn't watch World's End but sounds like there were numerous bumps that night that were all just ridiculously dangerous for no good reason.
And the problem is even though WWE is a bit more protected, since Dave Meltzer gives all the AEW matches 5 stars you have the WWE guys doing more of this stuff again too.

Blaming that on Meltzer is funny. I don't think anyone other than Tony Khan and Jim Cornette look at those ratings anymore.
WWE guys have always "done this stuff". The difference between WWE and AEW is the frequency and timing. AEW will see guys bust insane #### out on meaningless Collisions because no one can stop the wrestlers once they've decided to do it.

Smackdown was probably the best show, PPV or otherwise in years in my opinion! Just fantastic. Though I think Alba Fyre has to have a concussion!

The ending to the Three Stages of Hell was a good swerve.
When Fatu comes out you can almost hear the groan from the crowd that's thinking "Oh no Drew getting screwed out of the title by a Samoan again"
Then Cody and Jacob start fighting and you see Drew crawling to the door and the rumble of the crowd starts to build and he gets a big pop when he actually wins.

Punk vs Balor is a match worth watching if you only pick and choose when to watch Raw.

WWE has had a strangely good January so far.
Crowd in Toronto was super hot last night.

WWE knows how to turn on the Jets. I remember when Royal Rumbles were filled with jobbers and has beens. It was always pretty obvious who was going to win.
This royal rumble promises some star power, I'm looking forward to watching with some friends like old days.

Any predictions for the royal rumble?
Mine are
1. The women look absolutely stupid in their scuba suits.
2. Liv Morgan wins the women's RR, she will go on to face Raquel Rodriguez who will eventually go over Vaquer leading to a judgemnt day feud.
3. no one pops for entrance music because they have no idea who is who based on their music alone.
4. Chable Gable returns as elgrande americano and we get the double el grande spot.
5. Logan Paul screws Bronn Breaker to win.

So much for that rumor of Paige being number 30 and having a staredown with Rhea and AJ.

Yeah honestly with the complete lack of build to this rumble, I had a feeling it would be lacklustre. There was more build to Saturday night main event. WWE dropping the ball pretty consistently lately IMO, they need something to hook me back in.

It was an okay Rumble. Matches were decent enough, but there's just so little excitement right now. I'm looking forward to Punk/Roman, but not if Roman isn't around for the build. Liv is great, and deserved the win, but again it was to be expected. Although in their defense Jey winning last year was a surprise, and everyone complained.
It just felt everyone was going through the motions, and there were no "Wow" moments like you'd expect from the Rumble. An acceptable B+ show, but they badly need to ramp up their game towards Mania. I think a big issue is that Saudi money is always flowing. They don't need to up their game when they're being paid through the nose. Even with Brock and Roman showing it feels all that matters is the cheque being cashed. Booking and excitement matter less when the money is constantly flowing.

Rumble was just okay, nothing stood out to me but it’s a fun format. I know I’m a resident AEW first person, but this one seemed to a bit less built up.
Although it wasn’t entirely obvious who was going to win which was nice.
