Damn, the Jays could have done themselves a huge favour by not blowing that game last night. Now, they might have to sweep in Boston just to avoid a tiebreaker. Yankees will roll over for Baltimore, and the Tigers play a weak Atlanta team. That Monday Tigers-Indians game is huge.

What a crappy game. Have to remain hopeful.

They are in deep doo-doo if the bats can't wake up.

Wonder what the schedule is if there needs to be a tiebreaker, and that depends on the Tigers game? Tiebreaker Tuesday, WC Wed, game 1 ALDS Thursday?

It's just so disappointing how the bats always seem to go cold at the same time. But I really am trying to remain hopeful.

The Braves are 9-1 in their last 10 entering tonight. They are relishing playing the spoiler. That is our only saving grace right now.

Jays still control their own fate. Sweep the Sox for wildcard and home advantage. Win 2 of 3 for most likely wildcard but at the very least a playoff.

Win zero or 1, most likely bye bye season.

Boy they really blew it with game 4 of the Yankee series and last nights Baltimore game.

Those two saves would have clinched them a wild card spot but now they are in deep trouble. At least our best starters are going in Boston, but even with the Sox already home and cooled I will be pretty surprised if they don't roll the Jays and take their lunch money.

Braves being 9-1 in the last 10 is the perfect set up for them to get swept and blown away. But in all seriousness I still think 2 out of 3 from Boston is doable, but they are so lacking in confidence and fight right now that you wouldn't be surprised if they got swept in three easy wins for Boston. Hopefully they show up ready to go.

Between the Jays and Tigers games remaining, there are 7 total outcomes that will happen.

Detroit needs 5 of 7 outcomes to go their way to tie us. They need 6 of 7 to outright pass us.

Jays need just 3 out of 7 outcomes to go their way to outright win, or 2 out of 7 for a tiebreak.

All part of the plan to ensure we play Baltimore in the wild card like many want.

The Braves are 57-64 under Snitker, they passed the D Backs in the NL standings today.

I hope the Yankees do us some favours. I have confidence we can do it, it's just the nerves get a bit frayed watching these games.

I think it shakes down like this for the Jays:

Win 0 and you are out
Win 1 and you are in, but playing WC on the road
Win 2 or 3 and you are in, and playing WC at home

I really don't think they'll miss completely, but they might have lost home field advantage with those two losses to Baltimore.

I also find it rage inducing that the Rangers win their division and have 96 wins with a run differential of +14. Also, Baltimore is tied with us in the standings but only have a run differential of +21. We have a run differential of +91 - anyone else with a run differential of +90 or greater has already clinched their division. Damn AL East.

Doom and gloom is the feeling after losing 3 of 4, but looking at fangrahs projections helps ease the blow.

Using weighted odds the Jays are about 86% to make playoffs, using the coin flip odds, they're 90%.

Hopefully the team breathes, relaxes, and realizes what a great opportunity they face this weekend.

We can't worry too much about the Tigers and Mariners supposed easy matchups. We saw the Jays struggle with our easy matchup with the Angels too.

Baseball is funny. The best team can play the worst team 10 games in a row and will still only likely go 6-4 in that span.
