This is just my opinion ...
Little wrong guy sure. But he was trending down for a while. I dont fault schneider for giving Raleigh a different view from a lefty. That's strategic.
He knows the game better than us. Let's face it.
Players do make adjustments in box 3rd time around that's a fact etc.
It is on the player go perform. Fluharty was bad too at the deadline. I felt we needed a lefty I wanted matz be cause of his history with jays. Maybe garcia etc would have been in or sandlin who knows.... its tough .
Can't turn back time. Just win next one?

Raleighs numbers as a righty are a lot better. It’s been speculated what you wrote but thats still illogical anyway it’s looked at. It was simply a poor decision as Little wasn’t the man for the situation and Raleigh was better as a righty. It’s been universally panned.

To play devils advocate. . Not that it matters.
Just to our mind. help us get over this.
Scherzrr could havr blew up in face too. Sure raleighs numbers are better against lefties etc. Nothings sure fire. Little beginning of year was lights out no?
Sometimes it happens.

In that moment you want to have your best on best to give you the best chance at winning. Lately Little has been poor. You can't put certain guys in that position too. It's about giving yourself the highest chance to win and there was a collective groan/bewilderment when Little was chosen for that moment, because the chances of success dropped significantly.

Putting Little in that situation would be like pulling your goalie up 2-1 with a couple minutes left in the 3rd while trying to win and go up 3-2 in a conference final. Pretty much a direct comparison.

Yes, Little was “lights out” early in the season. The league adjusted to him and he never could adjust back. It’s easy to approach him - don’t swing at anything that is low as it is simply only going to get lower. If it is higher in the zone, it is a fastball and you can tee off on a 93-94 mph fastball that is very, very meh. It’s pretty simple. The results are obvious.
Yes, he’s the same pitcher that he was back then but the league has found the cheat code to face him and he has been brutal ever since. Using him against Cal Raleigh, Jorge Polanco, and Josh Naylor was almost a fireable offence when you still had Hoffman and Dominguez available.
Would Hoffman and Dominguez gotten the 6 outs without giving up a run? I don’t honestly know…none of us do…because Schneider got too cute. I do know that they are there specifically for these types of situations and undoubtedly are better players than Brendon Little.
We need to win or lose by putting our best players in the key situations. At least the “what if” questions don’t unnecessarily linger.

Also, it is possible for Schneider to take accountability without throwing Little under the bus.
He could say this:
“I put Little in a bad spot. Looking at the decision, it wasn’t right. Brendon feels awful about the result. He shouldn’t. I’m the manager and I own that decision 100%. He is a great person with a family and has performed admirably for us. He deserved better and I feel terrible that he’s gotten so much of the criticism for a decision that I made.”

Listening to his comments, not just reading them, and there’s an air of arrogance. And the aforementioned “Little didn’t perform like my information said he should” inference. Is it a facade to not look weak?
Whatever, it all really depends on what his players think of this and can trust him going forward this season and in the future.
This trust factor will be discussed for a while now, no matter how this and the next series goes.
He will probably having pitching decisions today that aren’t as clear cut as the one he messed up on two days ago.
How long does Yesavage go? Do you trust him to get out of a jam if he gives up a hit and walk in the 3rd inning if the game is tied or close?
If he cruising through 6 do you keep him in for 7th?
He will likely get an early pull, as Schneider has pulled him and the trusted (?) vet Gausman earlier this series with each of those game tied.
This is a situation where Schenider doesn’t have all the information because there isn’t enough, with this guy on 6 major league games and 12 months ago playing with college baseball bubble players.

As a manager, it’s his job to at least try to find the spots where his players will perform their best. He needs to own when he completely whiffs on those calls and puts a guy in to be cannon fodder both on and off of the field.
His blasé attitude can be helpful at times but it can be really frustrating. Little manned up right after the game and threw himself on top of the raging fire. Why couldn’t Schneider have taken that some of that burden off of him?

Ya, obviously we don't see the closed door stuff but if that's his attitude inside the clubhouse I don't think I'd have an ounce of faith in him as a player

A little harder contact maybe then you’d like for especially Polonco, but under 10 pitch inning is an excellent start.
