When was the last time you upgraded?
Edit: Every single number I type into that upgrade checker returns the full 649/749 amount. My Rogers number, my old Telus number, my frickin house number, my buddy's number from California... they all just say, "You're eligible to upgrade for $649 or $749... yadda yadda."

What the eff? I plugged in my number and it said I get the $649.00 screw job. I never upgraded to the 3GS and got my 3G at launch. Shouldn't I at least get the $399.00 deal?

I don't think the thing is working. Not surprising, really...

Yeah, but if you clicked right in the center of the submit button it would just log you out and terminate your browser session.
What? Every submit button as a weak spot...

$159 for 16GB for me. I was really expecting to pay $200, so it feels like I am ahead, but I'm not. The price reduction makes sense considering it's a 3 year contract. Alright now I just to figure out how to buy one of these tomorrow.

Just out of curiosity, I checked mine. It also shows me at full price and I got my phone well before the June 7, but within the last year.
Either they are baldfaced liars that people buying before June 7 will get a discount or that thing is seriously messed up.

So since I have completed 2 out of 3 years on my smart phone I can't upgrade for 159?

Hey all. We are experiencing technical difficulties with our HUP eligibility tool and it may be giving incorrect results. We’re aware of it and are working on it. While we do, the tool may be temporarily unavailable. Thanks for your patience.

I still have the 3G and the Fido tool seems to be working.

Oh, Fido. That reminds me, I'm hearing a nasty rumor out there that Fido is stacking their contracts on iPhone 4 upgrades.
If you have a 3G that you bought two years ago, and have one year left on your contract, your new three year contract (to HUP to the iPhone 4) won't start until your current one is done.
In other words, to HUP to the iPhone 4, you're looking at a four year contract. Is that accurate?

Those are pretty good subsidized rates ($169) - hopefully the take rate for unlocked ones is not high tomorrow.
Bell Eatons Center guy today said they will have stock for tomorrow.

Correct. Fido stacks now. But your voice ECF is still capped at 300 and Data 200.
So whatever length left on your contract+3 years if you are on fido.
Rogers resets the 3 years.

Yikes. So a guy who got the 3GS last June, wanting to upgrade to the 4 tomorrow... he'd be looking at a five year contract (two years for the old one and three more for the new one). That's crazy talk.

I'm having issues with the hardware upgrade thingy too. I get the same super expensive price but a co-worker of mine that got the phone at the same time as me gets the super low (for an iPhone) price. I'm sure everything will get sorted out over the next few days.

From July 30 to September 30th get 6GB of data for only $30 per month with unlimited Wi-Fi in over 750 locations including all Starbucks in Canada.*
Have an iPad too? For an additional $10 per month, you can share the data between both your iPhone 4 and iPad.

There's Bell's 6GB + iPad tie-in offer. Wtf is Rogers doing with their "$20 + Government Charges" bs?
