The thing is I got pulled over and warned about 18 months ago for going 65 in the carpool lane. The CHP officer told me that even though I was going 65, I was impeding the flow of traffic because the carpool and fast lanes typically go at least 75mph. The only reason I was goig 65 back then was because I saw the cop coming up behind me. Today I'm going with the flow of traffic and I get nailed. Bleh!

Oh man was that ever tempting let me tell you. However, it's waaaaay different being in their house. We did have one coil fan walk up to us and give us the finger on one of our smoke breaks. He basically made his way through the crowd to find any flames fans possible and did that. He actually almost got his a$$ kicked by one dude.
But, we also met some very nice and respectable coil fans, and we really appreciated that especially considering, had that garbage goal happened in our house to our team, we would be f'ing pissed and possibly smashing things.

I'd really like to make it to Alberta in March to see the Senators play. I wonder how much abuse I'd get if I showed up in the cheapseats in either city wearing a Sens jersey.

Probably none. No one really cares about the Ottawa Fighting Snes out here. Unless you act like a dink. Then you trouble might find you. So you'll probably have trouble.

I don't think you'd get too much grief in the 'Dome. Not much of a rivalry with the Sens.

If I'm wearing a red Sens jersey can I give the Flames fans, who aren't wearing red, grief?

Scotiabank Place is like a mini-Saddledome, anyway - at least it was last year when I went and watched the Flames play .

i hate it when people update their facebook status with:

"thanks to all for the birthday wishes"

because, i know they are writing that just to get others to wish them a happy birthday. if you want to thank the three people that actually wished you a happy birthday, take the time to thank them. no need to drag your other 'friends' into it.

...and no, it is not my birthday today.

I actually saw something really funny when the Flames played the Sens one year. It was up in the cheap seats and these two guys were sitting together. They were obviously buddies, but one was a Sens fan and one was a Flames fan. They were beaking at each other all game, and when the Flames scored in OT, the guy in the Flames jersey stands up and screams, and then dumps his full beer over his buddy's head.

I'm not a fan of the passive aggressive status updates. A couple broke up and now seem to be communicating with each other via status updates on facebook. Its so immature, and its just making everyone else feel very awkward around either one of them because we feel like we're learning stuff that is none of our business.

I kicked my oiler fan "friend" in the balls after the first preseason game walking down the west stairs at the dome. It felt good and I would do it again if i was given the chance.

I think people do it because they come back to 30 messages, and just do not have time to respond to them all. I do not have hundreds of people on my FB, I keep it hidden, so I replied to all of my birthday wishes.
