There's no reason why Frost won't be a center solution in the 3rd slot.
He generally wins his match ups while playing for a subpar team.
Both are decent players that irrefutably improve the team's depth.

By adding two ~0.5 ppg players maybe we’ll more frequently get to that fabled 4th goal in a game.
But I’m still happy to have coronato score hat tricks as well.

Frost I think is the kind of player that can adapt his playmaking to his linemates needs. I think he'd be a great middle man for Sharangovich to re kindle that 30 goal pace.

I’d swap Farabee and Zary.

I just keep thinking about how Brière is justifying this to ownership…
He traded 2 of of his top 9 forwards, 24 & 25yo, for a guy he could’ve had for free 3 months ago and a 2nd round pick?
Just cause they got their ass kicked by NJ last night? Brière should’ve stayed in bed today.

Pelts will always be a beauty. Wish him nothing but the very best. He worked his tail off, dealt with adversity, and always brought a smile and joy to the ice.

Adding them also let's the Flames slot their players better. Beyond that i think this is a perfect mix of veterans and young players that i think help them take that next step.both these guys will probably play 200+ games in Calgary, great trade and asset management considering it didn't cost a 1st.

And symptoms of "but it might just work for us" around Kuzmenko.

And I think this roster still lacks the high end punch to run a true first line, they will need to continue rolling lines the best they can to stay successful
I'd like to see something like that and pull Farabee up to PP1 / Shar up to PP2.
I also think Zary is at a development stage where getting to play with the best support player possible (Hubey) will be good for his career

Conroy found the perfect trade partner and the perfect timing.

That's generally true for all trades - the team that likes the player the most, pays the most for them.
And that doesn't change what I said.

Usually the difference isn't that large. Philly seems to have really valued Kuzmenko much more than we thought anyone would.

I was hoping we could get Frost for a while!
That's a pretty solid deal for the Flames. It sucks losing Pelletier, but the Flames just got a lot better.
The top 9 I want to see:
Huberdeau - Frost - Sharangovich (See if Huberdeau can develop chemistry with Frost)
Farabee - Kadri - Pospisil (They will be amazing off the rush)
Coleman - Backlund - Coronato
Not sure where Zary fits in a couple of weeks.

Losing a potential future mini Coleman is a bummer, but Conroy says he sees a lot of Coleman in Farabee so that’s good.
Is Frost our best Faceoff guy?

This is the kind of bold move a GM needs to make when faced with reality. Wolf, Zary and Coronato are all looking good. Bahl was a great addition. There was no chance they were going to be a bottom team with them all playing so well.
Any GM can fire sale players for years looking for picks, so it's interesting to see how they manage trades and adapt. I'm glad he mentioned snarl in Farabee a few times. This team has several players now who bring this. Getting harder to play against.

I’d try Farabee because he can fly and is good off the rush. Two things I think will mesh well with Huberdeau.

Frost was a target since the summer. I mentioned it here.

Glad Conny finally got his man and to get Farabee as well is a beauty piece of work. I'm excited!
