How did this thread go from us appreciating the great man and player Monahan was for us to laughing at Opera singers?

Guess Monahan is even more boring than The Opera...

At least the Opera posts were derived from an experience at the Montreal opera, which at least has some connection to the main post. The Tkachuk back and forth a few pages ago was really jarring to read in this thread.

Because the Jankowski thread was already taken.

Speaking of… ten years later, do we all officially agree Mark Jankowski is not, in fact, the best player of the 2012 draft?

How is opera singers being booed even a argument?
Pavarotti was booed almost continously from 76 to 1992. He had almost a flawless performance I 1983 and 1992 and got booed so much he walked of stage for a single voice crack. The shows shut down to the booing. The actors were just peace I'm outtheres tons of evidence nin booing opera shows and being shut down.
I've been to a few that were shut down because of boos. I love opera .but I've seen some go south .

There is a direct correlation between the decline in Ferrari F1 performance and the rise in opera petulance during that time. Think about it!

Hard to tell how hard he's pushing his mechanical hips in that short clip, but I'm happy to see that he's at least on the ice! Go Sean!

I'm gonna guess it's because google doesn't know if the colours are a noun or adjective, but I dunno if that makes any sense

That's pretty much exactly it. The usage of that particular phrase to refer to Montreal Canadiens uniforms must be a very small percentage of the times it's used overall.
French uses le, la in a lot of situations where English leaves out the, so Google Translate goes by the probabilities and leaves it out. In this case, oops.

Not sure if you're joking but he didn't have hip replacements. He had labrum surgery where they either repair the torn labrum if possible or cut out and smooth the damaged tissue area. Quite common in hockey players.

Was mostly joking, but I gotcha. Overall just happy to see him out there looking relatively comfortable.

I hope Monahan has a good year. I don't think 20G is out of the question if he feels as good as he says.
