Meh I don’t get what’s not to like. If the contract situations don’t work out, we now have:

- One asset equal or better than Chucky in regards to deadline return this upcoming year.
- Another asset that will be valuable for a deadline return
- plus a 1st round pic and a prospect

This is a great trade. If you can lock up those two it’s a great win now trade. If you can’t, it’s still an amazing trade for the rebuild crowd, it just pushes the start out a season.

I’m a big Garland fan but Weegar >> Garland.

I really hope the Flames re-sign him. The potential is there that in 5 years he’s looked at as the best player in this trade. That’s how good he already is and how good I think he can be once Sutter coaches him up.
