Everything coming out the last couple of days from HH has been pretty damning. Looks like Farkas isn’t unscathed in this either.

Yeah reading through some of that is tough. Not at all surprised at some of the names being brought up

Is everyone defending Chu on Twitter a bot or a moron?

I just have no idea why anybody would stick their necks out for him. He’s a POS and a horrible and incompetent councillor. Why don’t his so-called handlers urge him to resign?

I dont know why anyone would stick up for him either.

As to why he or his handlers refuse to get him to resign?

Put it this way...I consider the City of Calgary/Sean Chu fiasco to be akin to a Costanza vs. PlayNow scenario.

He is in it for the pension and the pay and there isnt anything anyone can do about it so he's going to sit there and soak up that sweet, sweet Government graft.

There’s quite a bit here to digest and it’s getting a little disjointed now.

It's ridiculous. I'm taking steps to leave the province and absolutely will follow through if the ucp gets elected again with smith leading. Enough is enough with this backwater bull****.

Thinking about it a bit, I think he might just be those guys only useful idiot on Council. He’s probably being blackmailed for other things, otherwise I’d see no reason for him not to extricate himself from this. Like, why would he put his kids through that. It would be embarrassing for them. They must hate him and the situation.

Chu won't resign. He needs to continually rebuild his bank account since that Nigerian Prince never came through with the promised millions, even though Chu has paid for its release multiple times.

I am absolutely shocked that the people who abused city staff at open houses for the SW Transitway would want to lock their community away from others. Shocked!

I was at the city open house for Banff Trail redevelopment and I can confirm that many people, including some mentioned in that Sprawl article, abused city staff at the event. Those people truly suck.

For example he quotes Nenshi saying, "... we need to build density in existing neighbourhoods in order to meet those goals. And, frankly, if you can't do it here, in a place where the ARP allows for it, where are you going to do it?" The thing is the ARP didn't allow for the development that kicked off this legal fight. The City amended the ARP after, without the support of the Community Association, to push the development through. The ARP had three to four-storey townhouses/rowhouses in mind; the developer wanted to build a six-storey, 90ish-unit apartment building...

The city would be incalculably better if Community Associations all went and just ####ed themselves and nobody listened to them.

Does the City have to listen to them though?
