And like that it's over. Chiefs are the best team in the NFL, but as someone mentioned it's always about the playoffs for Andy Reid. That said, he's pretty much the clear cut #2 best coach in the league behind Belichick.

What a rough game for both teams. Hopefully Kelce isn't too badly knocked out. Conley is certainly done. Houston also didnt finish the game.
Still in spite of that and Deshawn Watson the Chiefs somehow won. Alex Smith just getting it done this year. He's really throwing the ball well. Hey Tampa....you could have had Butker two weeks ago....want a mulligan?
Texas certainly don't want one on Watson. He sure looks like he's a keeper. I was hoping the Chiefs would pick him, but maybe this is better. He would still be on the bench if KC picked him.

With the Raiders at 2-3 and the Broncos approaching a brutal portion of the schedule, the Chiefs are running away with what many are calling the best division in football this year.
That first KC/Denver match up is huge.

Miami Dolphins offensive line coach Chris Foerster resigned Monday following a video that surfaced on social media of him snorting a white powder.
Foerster said in a statement that he will seek professional help.
"I am resigning from my position with the Miami Dolphins and accept full responsibility for my actions," Foerster said. "I want to apologize to the organization and my sole focus is on getting the help that I need with the support of my family and medical professionals."
This was Foerster's second stint with the Dolphins and second season with the team, which also released a statement.
"We were made aware of the video late last night and have no tolerance for this behavior," the team said. "After speaking with Chris this morning, he accepted full responsibility and we accepted his resignation effective immediately. Although Chris is no longer with the organization, we will work with him to get the help he needs during this time."

Another hookers and blow type story with a predictable ending.
Jim Rome used to say something like "sex never loses". He is right.

The line coach jokes are obviously writing themselves today.

Why do people video record themselves doing incriminating acts? It's just so dumb.

The last two years the one team that started 5-0 missed the playoffs. I dont think they can continue to outscore their bad defence. The run defence is awful and Watson just exposed their pass defence. Injuries are also mounting too. I'm not so sure anyone will be left by the time they get to their bye week.
Make no mistake Denver will win the Division. That defence is a menace. They'd be 4-0 if not for a goofy call. So long as Simeon limits turn overs and doesn't help the other teams score I don't see any offence able to move the ball against them.

I can't wait to read Syl's hate post against the Chiefs when they win the Super Bowl.

His cynicism is warranted and the history is there to support it. I don’t blame him at all, Andy Reid can lose any game he should win. 16-0 and losing the first playoff game would be peak Andy, that’s his gift.

I get it, but thinking the Broncos are a shoo-in to win the division is utterly hilarious. The Broncos have far more and far bigger flaws than the Chiefs. The Chiefs only real concern is injuries, otherwise they have as complete a team as there is. We all know it's about the playoffs for Andy, but this might be the best team he's had as a coach so we'll see how it goes. I guess enjoy the ride a bit more and don't fret about what the destination will be until you get there. I mean for Christ sake's the Chiefs have won 29 of their last 35 football games. You'd think they were the 49ers or something.

That is Reids mantra for sure. But they're not that far removed from being a 2-14 team with Brady Quinn and Matt Cassel bungling up the QB position.
So unlike Eagle fans, I'm okay with him leading a team that's in the 5-8 range in the league. It's better than the 7 year mess that happened from 2007 to 2013 where they had one fluke season and a lot of awful offence dragging down Jamaal Charles.
Although I don't like that John Dorsey was removed. He built a pretty deep team that's still somewhat set up to continue being a good team. Made no sense to not keep him around.
I dont hate the Chiefs at all. But I know full well they are at best a 40% chance to get past the Division round. I've seen a lot of home losses at Arrowhead over the years. Oddly enough....since the week 4 shelling in Pittsburgh last year the Chiefs have been road warriors. Wins in Oakland, Denver, Atlanta, Carolina, New England, Houston plus San Diego, Los Angeles and Indy when they had Luck. They seem better off away from Arrowhead in spite of its repuration as a tough place to play.

On another note: Ben Roethlisberger stirring things up with comments yesterday. He really has been off all year compared to the past. In a way it's like Manning where seemingly on a dime the physical skills diminished in the matter of a few weeks. But I do wonder if his heart is still completely in it. He was talking about it last year and it's sparking up agan. Either way the Steelers might be playing with a different guy under center next year.
Bens taken a lot of abuse over his years in the league by extending plays. I'm not sure that he's got the same drive a guy like Brady has to cheat father time. He's got two rings so he likely would be willing to walk away a bit younger than most.

that one came after the Steelers were hammered by the Eagles. How fitting that it's Steelers-Chiefs next week, again after an abysmal Steelers game ... this time, I have no doubt it will be a different game. Chiefs look like the best team in the league right now, and it will show. Don't worry about suspect run defense, mastermind Haley will limit Bell to 15 touches anyway. Roethlisberger won't expose their pass defense like Watson either. To me, it looks like mentally Roethlisberger is already retired.

I don't know about that.
Denver has struggled to put teams away that they've completely outplayed in their 3 wins. I thought that Buffalo deserved the win against Denver despite the call on Miller.
Denver has nearly played half of it's home schedule already. That's scary.
The Giants with no receivers is up next. Should be an easy win right? Then at the Chargers where they always seem to make Phil look like a HOFer and then at Arrowhead for MNF.
The Chiefs play an embarrassed Pittsburgh, Oakland and then Denver on MNF.
Tough stretch for them coming up too.

Than at Dallas before their bye....after that things soften up.
Even the Broncos game in LA will seem like a home game for Denver. There will be more Bronco fans than Chargers fans.
My prediction...Eli Manning finally suffers an injury that forces him to miss a game this week. They have a weak runnine game and offensive line combined with inexperienced receivers. Denver is coming off a bye at home. Eli is a fish in a barrel of Sharks.

Pittsburgh also got Bell back from suspension that week too. If Todd Haley doesn't get bell 35 touches next week.. than he should be hailing a cab from Arrowhead after that game as an unemployed man. The Steelers are a team that don't go thru losing streaks of more than one game. Many teams would implode in their current state. But not them.

O'Brien has confirmed Watt and Mercilus are both out for the year. Devastating for the Texans.

They made the playoffs without Watt last season. I think the Texans have to consider that he's not going to be a full time player for them going forward.
