Oh yeah, I'm actually really pissed at that decision. I get it - "Yeah, well let's see you intentionally take a 100MPH pitch to the shins". But that was a very crucial at bat in our season. If you're a fringe guy who can't hit well and you get a free run coming at your legs?
Sorry, but you tense up and take that, every time. If I'm a teammate watching that from the dug out I'm going "wow, nice team work man, wouldn't want you to have to ice your leg after the game".

Just watching that play from Donaldson really makes you appreciate the insane amount of calculations that the human body is capable of. Charging the ball coming towards you, the spatial changes constantly occurring, timing the bounces to barehand it, the cross body throw.
